Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases Registry

StrokeAcute Stroke10 more

This is a single institutional registry database for the patients with stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States. Despite extensive research, most of the patients die or suffer from varying degree of post-stroke disabilities due to neurologic deficits. This registry aims to understand the disease and examine the disease dynamics in the local community.

Study Of Lybrel In Relation To Venous Thromboembolism

Venous ThrombosisPulmonary Embolism2 more

Lybrel® is an oral contraceptive that delivers low doses of levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol (90 μg/20 μg). Lybrel is taken on a continuous basis without a placebo or pill-free interval to inhibit menstrual cycle bleeding by delivering a steady level of the 2 hormones for as long as the drug is used. Lybrel was marketed in the US in July of 2007. The objective of this database case-control study is to estimate the risk of idiopathic VTE (deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism) in current users of Lybrel (ethinyl estradiol 20ug/levonorgestrel 90ug) compared to current users of other oral contraceptives containing 20μg of ethinyl estradiol.

Comparison of the Radiological Pattern Between the Cerebral Stroke of Arterial and Venous Origin...

StrokeSuperior Sagittal Sinus Thrombosis1 more

There are few published data on the patterns of parenchymal imaging abnormalities in a context of cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT). The objectives of the present study were to describe the patterns of parenchymal lesions associated with CVT and to determine the lesion sites.

Safety and Feasibility of the Infinity Catheter for Radial Access

Brain TumorStroke5 more

The main objective of this single arm study is to evaluate the safety and feasibility of the AXS Infinity LS (Stryker, Freemont, CA, USA) and AXS Infinity LS Plus (Stryker, Freemont, CA, USA) catheters during the transradial approach through a secondary use of the data collected during neurointerventional procedures. This includes evaluating the conversion rates to a transfemoral approach. A secondary aim of the study is to assess the radial artery occlusion rates post procedure.

Application CT and MRI in Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis

Magnetic Resonance ImagingCerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis1 more

Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is a rare disease, and with poor prognosis. Computed tomography (CT) andmagnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are the most commonly used image modalities for patients with non-specific neurologic symptoms. We are going to assess the accuracy of CT and MRI in the differential diagnosis of CVT and cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST).

Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis: Re-exploration of Clinical Assessment Scales

Cerebral Venous Sinus ThrombosisCSF Pressure Increased1 more

This is a single-center, retrospective, open-label study. This study is planned to investigate the accuracy of mRS and NIHSS, comparing with the accuracy of CSF pressure and papilledema grade in assessing cerebral venous sinus thrombosis.
