Low-moderate Intensity Pedaling During Immunotherapy Administration

Cancer of SkinCancer of Kidney4 more

The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility pedaling using an under-the desk bike during immunotherapy infusions. Also, the study hopes to evaluate how pedaling impacts quality of life and treatment response biomarkers. Lastly, the study will evaluate the relationships between treatment response and muscle mass which is evaluated with computerized tomography (CT) scans.

Sonazoid-Enhanced Ultrasound in Detecting Sentinel Lymph Node in Patients With Cutaneous Melanoma...

Cutaneous MelanomaMelanoma

This pilot phase I trial studies how well sonazoid-enhanced ultrasound works in detecting sentinel lymph node in patients with cutaneous melanoma. Sonazoid is a contrast agent that may make it easier to see if the tumor cells have spread to the sentinel lymph node using an ultrasound.

A Prospective Multicenter Sample Collection Study Using Non-invasive Methods to Investigate Mutation...

Melanoma and Other Malignant Neoplasms of Skin

This is a prospective, multicenter, sample collection study using DermTech's non-invasive skin collection kits to evaluate the mutation burden of non-lesional facial skin from subjects with a documented history of numerous basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas or melanomas compared to that of subjects with no history of skin cancer matched for age, sex and Fitzpatrick phototype.

Non-invasive Fluorescent Imaging System for Imaging Mohs Tumor

Skin Cancer

The objective of this study is to correlate traditional histological Mohs tissue mapping of a cutaneous tumor with the ICG-mapping procedure. The use of intradermal ICG in a cutaneous tumor during MMS followed by visualization using a fluorescent imaging system could allow surgeons to directly visualize, and roughly map the extent of a primary skin cancer and plan the Mohs procedure (i.e. the initial excision size and subsequent layer widths) accordingly.

Evaluation of Oncoxin-Viusid® in Cutaneous Melanoma

Cutaneous MelanomaStage II3 more

Malignant melanoma, responsible for 75% of deaths from skin cancer. Current therapeutic options have poor response, many adverse events and high costs. For this reason, a study with nutritional supplement Oncoxin-Viusid was carried out. According to previous studies, it has an antitumor, immunomodulatory effect and to potentiate the antiproliferative effect of standard chemotherapeutic agents in different locations and stages of cancer.

The Effect of Green Tea and Vitamin C on Skin Health

Skin Cancer

There is little information on the effect of oral bioactive compounds on human skin clinically despite evidence of a beneficial effect from laboratory studies. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of oral bioactive compounds (green tea and vitamin C) on the health of human skin by measuring markers of skin health directly and skin nutrient uptake.

Optimizing Photodynamic Therapy of Cutaneous Neoplastic Diseases Via Structured Illumination and...

Skin CancerSigns and Symptoms

The purpose of this study is to evaluate native tissue optical properties and photosensitizer optical properties in vivo with a novel, non-contact optical imaging device call Modulated Imaging to help optimize the laser exposure in future photodynamic treatment for patients with skin cancer. Photodynamic therapy involves the administration of a tumor-localizing photosensitizing agent that, when illuminated with the proper wavelength of light, can result in photochemical processes that cause irreversible damage to tumor tissues. Photodynamic therapy is non-invasive and has been shown to be effective in the treatment of skin cancer while producing excellent aesthetic appearance and psychological well-being in patients that normally would require invasive excisions.
