Clinical Trial of Desmopressin on Nocturia in Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Patients
NocturiaObstructive Sleep ApnoeaThe purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of desmopressin on symptoms of nocturia in patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). The improvement of sleep quality and the quality of life will be measured.
Apnex Clinical Study of the Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation (HGNS®) System to Treat Obstructive Sleep...
Obstructive Sleep ApneaThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the benefits and risks of hypoglossal nerve stimulation with the Apnex Medical Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation (HGNS) System as a potential therapeutic option for individuals with moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) that have failed or do not tolerate positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy.
Nasal Expiratory Resistance in Patients With Sleep Apnea and Expiratory Flow Limitation
Obstructive Sleep ApneaObstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is inherently site-specific. In a physiological controlled intervention study, the investigators seek to determine whether applying expiratory resistance can acutely improve ventilation and sleep in patients with expiratory flow limitation (EFL).
Treatment of Central Sleep Apnoea in Patients With Heart Failure With Nasal High Flow Therapy (nHFT)...
Central Sleep ApneaCheyne-Stokes RespirationTo investigate whether nHFT is an effective treatment for patients with Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) and central sleep apnea (CSA). This study is a prospective one armed uncontrolled intervention pilot study investigating 4 weeks of nHFT at home in 10 patients with CHF and CSA.
Inspire® Upper Airway Stimulation System
Obstructive Sleep ApneaThe purpose of this post-market study is to assess safety and effectiveness of Inspire Upper Airway System (UAS) in a commercial setting. This study will provide additional clinical evidence of Inspire UAS for treatment of moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) using a randomized controlled trial design.
Cycloserine in the Treatment of Sleep Apnea
Sleep Apnea SyndromesThis study is being conducted to determine whether cycloserine is effective for the treatment of sleep apnea. Cycloserine is an antibiotic that has been extensively used in the treatment tuberculosis. However, more recently it was shown to enhance memory responses. Cycloserine may enhance the response of respiratory muscles to apnea and potentially reduce the severity of sleep disordered breathing.
Systemic Inflammation and Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome: Effect of Atorvastatin
Obstructive Sleep Apnea SyndromeThe aim of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effect of Atorvastatin on the endothelial function improvement during the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) after 3 months of treatment, by a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, multi-center study. An interim analysis will be performed when 25 patients per group will be included.
Effect of Fenofibrate on Sleep Apnea Syndrome
DyslipidemiaSleep Apnea Syndrome2 moreObjectives: to investigate for the potential effect of fenofibrate on symptoms and biological changes associated with sleep apnea syndrome.
Epidemiology of Sleep-Disordered Breathing in Adults
Sleep DisordersCerebrovascular Disorders3 moreTo characterize the natural history and biologic spectrum of sleep disordered breathing (SDB) and other sleep problems and disorders, and test hypotheses regarding the causes and consequences of SDB and other sleep problems and disorders.
Sleep Apnea and Fetal Growth Restriction
Obstructive Sleep ApneaFetal Growth Restriction1 moreThis study aims to evaluate the association between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and fetal growth restriction (FGR) and to assess the role of auto-titrated positive airway pressure (aPAP) as antenatal therapy in these patients. Pregnant patients with diagnosed FGR will be screened for OSA first by screening questionnaire and then by home sleep monitor. Of those patients diagnosed with OSA, half will be assigned to use aPAP each night when sleeping and half will not (standard care).
