Evaluation of an Algorithm to Detect Sleep and Wake in Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP)...
Sleep ApneaObstructiveThe purpose of this engineering trial is to develop and validate an algorithm that will deliver Paced Breathing as a ramp feature to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) subjects using Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy. In this trial the investigators will be evaluating the algorithm's ability to correctly distinguish between sleep and wake.
Evaluating Behavioral Treatments to Improve Adherence to CPAP in People With Obstructive Sleep Apnea...
Adherence to CPAP in Obstructive Sleep ApneaObstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a serious sleep disorder in which a person repeatedly stops breathing or experiences shallow breathing for short periods of time during sleep. The most common treatment for OSA is the use of a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine, but many people have trouble adhering to the treatment schedule. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of two behavioral therapy programs used in combination with CPAP for improving treatment adherence in people with OSA.
Domiciliary Diagnosis and Follow up in Obstructive Apnoea Syndrome
Obstructive Sleep ApneaThe aim of the investigators study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a home programme (diagnosis and follow-up) in patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) syndrome treated with CPAP and to analyze the cost of this approach.
Evaluation of New Diagnostic and Treatment Algorithm for Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Sleep ApneaNewer home sleep study device and algorithm provides an alternative for inpatient sleep study and improve the service provides to patients
Cytokine Profiles in Children With Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Obstructive Sleep Apnea SyndromeThe purpose of this study is to compare the cytokine profile of tonsillar and peripheral blood mononuclear cells in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and to compare the blood mononuclear cell cytokine secretion profile between patients with obstructive sleep apnea and controls without apnea.
Telecommunications System in Sleep Apnea
Sleep ApneaObstructiveThis study is investigating the effects of a telecommunications system designed to improve patient adherence with prescribed positive airway pressure (CPAP).
We-PAP: A Couples-based Intervention for Sleep Apnea
Obstructive Sleep ApneaThe purpose of this study is to develop, refine and evaluate the feasibility of a novel couples-based intervention to improve adherence for patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
Video Consultation in CPAP for Patients With Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Obstructive Sleep ApneaThe objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of video consultation versus face-to-face consultation for patients with obstructive sleep apnea on patients' CPAP use (minutes/per night), self-efficacy, risk outcomes, outcome expectancies, experiences with technology and, patients' and nurses' satisfaction.
Apnea Hypopnea Index Severity Versus Head Position During Sleep
Sleep Disordered BreathingSleep Hypopnea4 moreThis study evaluates the correlation of the position of the head during sleep, independent of the position of the torso, and the severity of apnea hypopneas in obstructive sleep apnea.
Investigating the Experience of Living With Down Syndrome and Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (Stage...
Down SyndromeObstructive Sleep ApneaTo identify the perceptions, beliefs, and family-relevant outcomes regarding the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) with positive airway pressure (PAP) in children with Down's Syndrome (DS).
