The main goal of this French multicenter observational cohort study is to prospectively collect data assessing the impact of the Adaptative Servo-Ventilation treatment on the quality of sleep of patients with central or combined sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) out of Heart Failure (HF) with altered ejection fraction, with a predominant central SAS.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the utility of high-flow nasal oxygen during sleep endoscopy in obstructive sleep apnea patients.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is associated with obstructive sleep apnea. Abnormalities in liver enzymes can improve following continuous positive airway pressure in patients with obstructive sleep apnea. Computerized tomography can be used to quantify fatty liver changes. We hypothesize that continuous positive airway pressure can reduce morphologic fatty liver changes in patients with obstructive sleep apnea and non-alcoholic fatty liver, an that this reduction can be evident using computerized tomography

Prospective open-label, non-randomized, monocentric, cohort study, to assess the prevalence and severity of sleep apnea syndrome in patients treated for cancer of the upper aerodigestive tract. The patient follows a usual course of care including, at the end of the treatment of his cancer of the upper aerodigestive tract, screening for obstructive sleep apnea syndrome at 3 months and 6 months (Epworth score and ventilatory polygraphy)

Emerging evidence suggests that sleep-related disturbances such as sleep-disordered breathing (e.g. sleep apnea), sleep fragmentation, abnormal sleep architecture, and periodic limb movements (PLMs) are closely linked with adverse health outcomes such as cardiovascular events, hospital admissions and mortality. However, data supporting some of these associations is inconclusive. The Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre sleep clinic has collected a detailed set of physiological variables from adults who underwent daytime and overnight sleep studies at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Sleep Laboratory from 2004 till present. Data exists on more than 5,000 subjects with various disturbances of sleep. The investigators plan to link the Sunnybrook Sleep Laboratory data with various health administrative databases based at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES). The primary objective of this study is to determine whether the presence of various findings on polysomnography (e.g. obstructive sleep apnea, sleep structure / fragmentation, physiological characteristics such as arousals and periodic limb movements in sleep) are associated with different adverse health outcomes such as cardiovascular events, cancer, depression, hospital admissions, emergency department visits and mortality.

This study seeks to understand the physical, physiologic and biologic features that predispose a woman to the development of obstructive sleep apnea once they are exposed to the cardiopulmonary and metabolic physiological changes of pregnancy. Knowing these specific predictive factors can help identify a population at risk and guide clinicians to develop suitable targeting screening strategies.

Prospective, non-randomized, open label study

This is a phase 2 randomized double-blind placebo-controlled parallel-arm dose finding study to compare fixed dose combinations of AD109 and AD504 to atomoxetine or placebo in Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

This study will evaluate a newly developed pediatric mask (known as Pixi) on children aged 2-7 using continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), or Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) treatment. The participants will undergo a monitored sleep study, followed by a 7 night trial of the Pixi mask in the home environment. During the study usability will be measured through questionnaires filled in by the parent and clinician. The study hypothesis is that the usability of the mask will be superior to the patient's usual mask.

This study evaluates the intervention of the 1) sodium-restricted diet, or 2) diuretic, or 3) placebo pill in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea in adults.
