Improving Genetic Counseling for Patients With Spina Bifida Using Next Generation Sequencing
Spina BifidaThe main objective is to improve genetic counseling in patients with Spina Bifida, by the characterization of variants in new genes using high throughput sequencing either on a panel of targeted genes or on exome in families.

Virtual Reality Based Testing of Power Wheelchair Driving Skills
Spinal Cord InjurySpina Bifida1 moreThe purpose of this research study is to examine whether computer based or virtual reality based driving assessments are as useful as real-world power wheelchair driving tests in measuring driving performance and whether they may be useful in helping to identify the problems that some individuals may have with driving power wheelchairs. The specific aims are as follows: Specific Aim 1: To develop computer-based and VR-based wheelchair driving assessments for both drivers and non-drivers that correspond to an accepted real-world driving assessment (Power Mobility Road Test) and compare them to the real-world assessment and to each other. Specific Aim 2: To develop additional features of the computer-based and VR-based assessments that present dynamic tasks and determine whether skills on these tasks can be delineated within the virtual environment.

Urinary Calculi After Bladder Augmentation in Children
CalculiUrinary4 moreThe goal of this observational study is to analyse the occurence of urinary calculi after bladder augmentation in children: location of the calculi (kidney or bladder) type of bladder augmentation with higher rate of urinary calculi and why Find risk factors of urinary calculi in bladder augmentation (age, sex, other bladder procedures..)
Urinary Markers of Detrusor Overactivity in Spina Bifida Patients
Spina BifidaMultiple Sclerosis2 moreThe purpose of this study is to assess diagnostic performance of urinary markers of detrusor overactivity (Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), adenosine triphosphate (ATP), Prostaglandine E2) in detected high pressure bladder un spina bifida patients.
