Biopsychosocial Exploration of Pain Profiles in Inflammatory and Chronic Non-specific Axial Low...
Back PainSpondylitis2 moreThe biopsychosocial model is well established in chronic low back pain (CLBP) research. Nevertheless, researchers to date have overlooked the biopsychosocial aspects of Inflammatory Low Back pain (ILBP). Most health care providers are biologically oriented in their treatment of ILBP, neglecting its possible multidimensional nature. It is true that people with ILBP may present with more complex pain and physical limitations than those with chronic non-specific low back pain (CNSLBP), but it remains unexplored whether or not these limitations are affected by the same pain factors that affect CNSLBP patients. This study aims to explore and compare the biopsychosocial back pain profiles of adults with ILBP and CNSLBP.
Assessment of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Plaque Psoriasis,...
Rheumatoid ArthritisAnkylosing Spondylitis4 moreThe purpose of this non-interventional, multicenter, post-marketing observational study (PMOS) was to assess rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), ankylosing spondylitis (AS), plaque psoriasis (PS), Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) patients' adherence attitudes (beliefs) to maintenance therapy with adalimumab monotherapy or combination therapy with methotrexate (in participants with RA) and to investigate whether there were correlations between such beliefs and adherence to maintenance treatment.
A Multicenter, Postmarketing Study Evaluating the Concentration of Cimzia® in Mature Breast Milk...
Axial Spondyloarthritis (AxSpA)Non-radiographic Evidence-AxSpA4 moreThe primary objectives of this study are to assess whether there is transfer of Certolizumab Pegol (CZP) into breast milk of lactating mothers who are receiving an established dosing regimen of CZP by evaluating the concentration of CZP in mature breast milk, and to calculate the daily infant dose of maternal CZP.
Etoricoxib Prescribing Patterns and Adverse Events of Interest in Primary Care in the United Kingdom...
OsteoarthritisRheumatoid Arthritis3 moreThis postmarketing study was conducted to describe prescribing patterns for etoricoxib (ARCOXIA®) in General Practice and describe the incidence of selected adverse events recorded in the United Kingdom (UK) Medicines and Health Care Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) General Practice Research Database (GPRD).
Greek Study on Work Productivity and Sleep in Patients With Rheumatic Diseases Treated With Adalimumab...
Rheumatoid ArthritisAnkylosing Spondylitis1 moreTreatment with tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors, especially adalimumab, demonstrated an improvement in work productivity in participants with rheumatic diseases: rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), and ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Limited data was available for the effect of adalimumab treatment on sleep in all three diseases (RA, PsA, and AS) and no data was available for the effect of adalimumab treatment on work productivity in PsA. This long term Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQL) observational study was conducted to evaluate the effect of treatment with adalimumab on work productivity and sleep disturbance in Greek participants with moderate to severe rheumatic diseases (RA, PsA, and AS).
T Cells and TNF (Tumor Necrosis Factor): The Impact of TNF Blockade
Rheumatoid ArthritisAnkylosing Spondylitis1 moreWe aim to translate these findings into patients with rheumatoid arthritis and other conditions treated with anti-TNF (anti-tumor necrosis factor) therapy, such as psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Patients from rheumatology clinics within NHS (National Health Service) trusts will be recruited. We will correlate disease activity assessed by clinical parameters, ultrasonography, and questionnaires with biomarkers in the blood and target tissues, such as synovium and skin.
A Molecule Basic Study of Early Warning for New Pathogenic Risk of Ankylosing Spondylitis
Ankylosing SpondylitisThe investigators will recruit active ankylosing spondylitis patients for injection treatment of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells (a prospective, open-label, masculine medicine controlled(NSAIDs), clinical trial), and collect their Peripheral Blood Lymphocyte (PBMCs) and sera before and after the treatment of 24 weeks to test the gene expression profiles and study related pathogenesis of AS
Descriptive Study in Patients Treated With Vimovo™, Including Registration of the Physicians' Prescribing...
OsteoarthritisRheumatoid Arthritis1 moreThe most common pain-relievers used by patients with rheumatic disorders are called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These drugs are effective and well documented, but they can cause ulcers and gastrointestinal side effects. Vimovo™ is a tablet containing naproxen (NSAID) and a gastroprotective agent called esomeprazole. Patients with rheumatic disorders, who are at risk for developing gastrointestinal side effects, and where lower doses of naproxen or other NSAID treatment is not considered sufficient, could use this tablet. The regulatory authorities in many European countries have approved the use of Vimovo™, but they would like to understand how various factors influence the doctors' decision to prescribe the tablet and what is characterizing the patients receiving it. The aim of the study is to answer these questions.
Analysis of DNA Methylation in Spondyloarthritis
SpondylitisAnkylosing2 moreThe aim of this project is to quantify global DNA methylation in patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis or Axial Spondyloarthritis as compared with control subjects.
Neuropathic Spinal Pain in Ankylosing Spondylitis
Ankylosing SpondylitisThe aim of this study is to investigate prevalence of neuropathic spinal pain in AS patients and it's impact on sleep quality. Moreover effects of neuropathic pain on quality of life and fatigue will be assessed.
