Effect of 12 Weeks of Acupuncture on AMH and COH in Low Responder Patients

Hypogonadism; OvarianFemale Infertility

The Effect of Simvastatin on Uterine Leiomyoma Development and Growth in Infertile Women

Infertility

Uterine leiomyomas with an estimated incidence of 50%-80% are the most common tumors of female reproductive system. Statins as a HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors inhibit the mevalonate pathway of cholesterol synthesis, thus have been known as a group of drugs used for treatment of hypercholesterolemia. Statins inhibit proliferation of several cell types including vascular smooth muscle, hepatocytes and other cell types. Leiomyomas are benign uterine tumors characterized by smooth muscle proliferation and excessive deposition of extracellular matrix. In the present study we aim to evaluate the effect of simvastatin on uterine leiomyoma development and growth.

Can Calcium Ionophore Application Enhance the ICSI Outcomes in Severe Male Factor Infertility?

In Vitro FertilizationMale Factor Infertility

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of the use of calcium ionophore on the ICSI outcomes in couples with severe male factor infertility. Investigators conduct a randomized controlled trial on the sibling oocyte to justify the use of calcium ionophore in these cases.

Improvement of Cell Selection in Reproductive Techniques

Infertility

It is the aim of this trial to use a new computerized cell selection method, in addition to the current and world-wide used scoring system of fertilized oocytes implemented by Scott, to determine whether this leads to an increase in pregnancy rates in women undergoing assisted reproductive techniques.

The Effect of Pre-washing the Insemination Catheter on Pregnancy Outcome

InfertilityPregnancy

The investigators hypothesize that washing the insemination catheter prior to performing the IUI (intrauterine insemination) will improve the pregnancy outcome in IUI cycles when compared to controls (without pre-washing the catheter). Catheter washing is performed routinely before embryo transfer, however it is not done for IUI catheters. Therefore no data is available on applying the technique to IUI catheters prior to insemination.

Efficacy of Mefenamic Acid and Hyoscine for Pain Relief During Saline Infusion Sonohysterography...

Infertility

The infertility patients who are performed saline infusion sonohysterography (SIS) for studying the pathology inside the uterine cavity has pain. From pilot study the pain score is 6.80. It will have more benefits if we can manage this procedure with less or no pain. Many studies have tried to decrease pain such as types of catheter, intrauterine lidocaine infusion. Some have real effects but no study with oral Mefenamic acid or Hyoscine before the procedure. The drugs are safe and easy to administration and chief.
