The present study is set up to evaluate the efficacy of a programmation by administration of estrogen valerate during 6 or more consecutive days. In this prospective randomised trial, we study the impact of administration of Progynova® during 6, 7,8 9 or 10 consecutive days during the luteo-follicular transition period of the menstrual cycle.

According to the studies CC is successful at inducing ovulation in 50%-75% of cases, but only 30-40% becomes pregnant. The difference has been attributed to a negative action of clomifen citrate(CC) in the form of prolonged antiestrogenic effects on endometrial receptivity. For avoiding of these negative effects, giving ethinyl estradiol in sufficient dosages may be effective. The purpose of this study is comparing pregnancy rates after IUI in women who use CC alone and those who use CC in combination with ethinyl estradiol

Extremely Low Birth Weight InfantsHypernatremia

The improved survival rate of extremely low birth weight(ELBW)infants has resulted in new fluid and electrolyte problems that have not been encountered previously,in particular electrolyte imbalance. ELBW infants are especially vulnerable to hypernatremia(serum sodium value >150 mEq/L). Hypernatremia may be due to rapid dehydration or excessive administration of intravenous fluids(IV)that contain sodium. The current treatment modality for hypernatremia is to increase IV fluids above daily requirements.Enteral sterile water feeds(ESWF)are theorized as an endogenous source of fluids that may decrease elevated electrolytes such as sodium and potassium in premature infants. By giving ESWF to decrease elevated electrolytes, there would be less need for large volumes of IVF that contribute to the co-morbidities of prematurity: bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD),intraventricular hemorrhage(IVH)and patent ductus arteriosus(PDA). The purpose of this proposed study is to determine whether enteral sterile water feedings is effective in decreasing the incidence, duration and severity of hypernatremia in ELBW infants.

Effect of Cervical Discharge Removal During ET on Pregnancy Rate

Infertility

Pregnancy rate may be affected by multiple factors such as embryo transfer techniques. Even small differences in embryo transfer methods may affect pregnancy rates. There is an inconsistency about the effect of the removal of cervical discharge on embryo transfer outcomes. Some studies showed that cervical mucus removal before embryo transfer can increase pregnancy rate, however the others could not find any significant effect about the removal of cervical mucus on pregnancy or live birth rates. Given to the conflicting evidences, our study aimed to determine whether the cervical discharge removal has positive effect on pregnancy rate.

This is a Phase 2, interventional, prospective, multi-center, randomized, assessor-blind, active-comparator, dose-finding study to evaluate a new investigational long-acting follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) in infertile women who are undergoing an assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedure (In vitro fertilization/Intra cytoplasmic sperm injection [IVF/ICSI]). This study will compare 3 doses of the investigational drug versus a currently marketed drug follitropin alfa (Gonal-f® revised formulation female [RFF] Pen) in regards to the number of fertilized oocytes.

Infertility Implantation Failure

The primary objective of the study was to provide further clinical and statistical evidence of the efficacy of r-hLIF, in comparison with placebo, administered during the luteal phase after IVF and ET for improving embryo implantation in infertile women with a history of at least 2 implantation failures following transfer of fresh embryos. The secondary objective of the study was to assess the safety profile of r-hLIF in the proposed indication.
