To evaluate the survival benefit of para-aortic lymphadenectomy in potentially curative gastrectomy

This study examines at-home monitoring of patient-generated phsyiologic health data and patient-reported outcomes. Patient-generated health data using at-home monitoring devices and smart device applications are used more and more to measure value and quality in cancer care. This trial may show whether at-home monitoring programs can improve the care of patients after hospital discharge from surgery.

This study is designed to evaluate the impact of muscle relaxation during laparoscopic gastrectomy on oncological benefit, especially with obese patients over BMI 25. The primary endpoint is number of harvested lymph node that is critical point regarding quality of surgery in gastric cancer treatment. In the field of gastric cancer treatment, ICG and near infra-red fluorescence imaging was used only detection of sentinel lymph nodes. However, this novel concept can help to understand lymphatic drainage and make surgeons to perform D1+ or D2 lymph node dissection completely.

Based on antitumor activity of statin, we designed a phase III study of capecitabine/CDDP chemotherapy plus a low-dose simvastatin that is equivalent to cardiovascular dose in advanced gastric cancer patients.

There is scientific rationale for exploring the role of vorinostat, histone deacetylase inhibitor with capecitabine (X) and cisplatin (P), one of standard chemotherapy in patients with advanced gastric cancer. XP is a new standard of care in advanced gastric cancer (AGC) and vorinostat is a novel targeted agent that prevents tumor cell proliferation, survival and angiogenesis through histone deacetylase inhibition.
