Phase 3 Study of Xelox Followed by Maintenance Capecitabine in the Advanced Gastric Cancer
Stomach NeoplasmsXELOX regimen had a more favorable toxicity profile compared to cisplatin for patients with advanced gastric cancer. The safety profile of oxaliplatin makes it an ideal candidate for combination therapy. However, oxaliplatin induce sensory neuropathy, a cumulative, dose-related toxicity. It may therefore be possible to devise capecitabine maintenance regimen which achieves maximum treatment effect before cumulative neurotoxicity appears. We study that randomized Phase III study of Xelox (Capecitabine plus Oxaliplatin) followed by maintenance Capecitabine or Observation in the gastric cancer patients of stable disease after 6 cycle 1st line of XELOX chemotherapy .

Iron Replacement in Oesophagogastric Neoplasia
AnemiaEsophageal Cancer1 more40 eligible patients with confirmed esophageal or gastric adenocarcinoma and anemia will be randomized to a control or intervention group for management of this anemia. The control group treatment will consist of standard treatments as governed by the clinical team (eg oral iron, blood transfusions) whilst the intervention group will be treated with intravenous iron III isomaltoside (Monofer ®). It is hypothesized that intravenous iron supplementation is more efficacious than standard therapies.

We designed this phase II trial to determine the efficacy and safety of irinotecan monotherapy or combination (ILF) as second-line therapy for advanced gastric cancer.

Stomach NeoplasmsThis study is an open-label, single-center, and randomized phase II study designed to evaluate each efficacy and safety of S-1 and capecitabine in the elderly and/or poor performance status patients with recurrent or metastatic gastric cancer. The randomization will be stratified by age (70-85 years versus 65 years and < 70 years) and performance status, which is dependent on age group; in 70-85 years, ECOG performance status 0-1 versus 2 and in ³65 years and <70 years, ECOG performance status 2 versus 3. S-1 40mg/m2 orally twice daily on days 1 (evening) - 15 (morning) Capecitabine 1250mg/m2 orally twice daily on days 1 (evening) - 15 (morning) Treatment will be administered every 3 weeks and will be continued in the absence of disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.
