Endometrial Biopsy as Diagnostic Method for Endometriosis and Endometrioma

Women in the Reproductive Age GroupUndergoing Laparoscopy for Pelvic Pain and/or Infertility1 more

Our aim was to evaluate the efficacy of examining endometrial biopsy specimens for nerve fibers as a diagnostic test for endometriosis and endometrioma in a double-blind comparison with diagnostic laparoscopy.

Study of Information Received About Fertility and Infertility in Patients Who Have Finished Treatment...

Cancer

RATIONALE: Learning about the amount of information on fertility and infertility by patients before they received treatment for cancer in a comprehensive cancer center may help doctors plan the best treatment. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying the amount of information on fertility and infertility received by patients before treatment of cancer in patients who have finished treatment.

Plasma Concentrations of Calcium, Phosphate, FGF23, Klotho, 25 (OH) D3 and 1,25 (OH) 2D3 From Patients...

InfertilityFemale

1,25-dihydroxy-vitamin D3 (1,25 (OH) 2D3) or calcitriol regulates plasma calcium and phosphate concentrations in the blood by stimulating intestinal absorption and renal reabsorption of calcium and phosphate. 1.25 (OH) 2D3 is formed by the renal 1α25OH vitamin D-hydroxylase (Cyp27b1) and inactivated by the renal 25-hydroxy vitamin D-24-hydroxylase (Cyp24). Unpublished studies in mice revealed an inhibitory effect of 1.25 (OH) 2D3 on embryo implanation. An excess of 1.25 (OH) 2D3 could therefore lead to female infertility. The excess of 1.25 (OH) 2D3 could result from uncritical vitamin D intake with insufficient negative feedback by FGF23 / Klotho. The aim of the study is to identify patients with an excess of 1.25 (OH) 2D3.

Cooperative Adenomyosis Network

DysmenorrheaMetrorrhagia5 more

To set up a Cooperative Network by enrolling 5000 patients with Adenomyosis(AM) from multiple centers.Based on the Network platform and Database, the investigators try to explore the diagnostic strategies for AM and carry out epidemiological survey on the semeiology of AM.In addiction, the investigators expect to conduct research on the effect and the follow-up fertility outcomes of different medical or surgical treatment, the etiology of AM and endometriosis, the perspective investigation of the malignant transformation of AM ;the high-risk factors of AM,and finally propel the formation of Expert Consensus and Clinical Guidelines about AM which suitable to chinese conditions.

Semen Analysis Parameters Following Pfizer's COVID-19 Vaccine

Covid19Fertility Issues

In this study the investigators will explore the effect of the BNT162b2 COVID-19 Vaccine on semen analysis parameters among 75 fertile men. Fertile men will be regarded as such if they previously successfully impregnated their partners without the use of artificial reproductive technology, or men who previously had a normal sperm analysis exam by WHO criteria (2010). Those recruited will supply a single sperm sample 1-2 months following the second dose of the vaccination. In addition, the participants will fill a brief questionnaire with information regarding their medical and reproductive history. The investigators will examine the macroscopic and microscopic properties of the semen samples and compare them to the WHO semen analysis reference range in an attempt to ascertain whether the vaccine influences sperm parameters.

Amnion Bilayer and Stem Cell Combination Therapy on Thin Endometrium Infertile Patients

Cell- and Tissue-Based Therapy

Severe infections or trauma to the endometrial lining causes permanent scars that disrupt the menstrual cycle and lead to conceive failure. Transplantation of biological graft seeded with stem cells is purposed to regenerate and recover the capability of the endometrial lining back into its cycles. Initially, the techniques to isolate and culture the endometrial cells and amnion epithelial stem cells were developed, then the endometrial cells form patients with thin endometrium. Tissue were obtained from hysteroscopic biopsy, weight between 100 µl, while up to 20 µl from the thin endometrium. Tissue were digested using collagenase-1 and cultured using DMEM-F12 added wit epidermal growth factor. Endometrial cells will be characterized to SSUD2, ICAM and BRCP1. Amnion epithelial stem cells (hAESC) will be isolated using collagenase-1 and hyaluronidase. Characterization towards TRA-1-60, SSEA-4, Oct 3/4, and Nanog. In the future, the cells will be co-culture on amnion bilayer, and stained using IHC against α-cadherin, estrogen receptor α, progesterone receptor. Endometrial receptivity (HOXA10, LIF (early secretory) adhesion, VEGF, osteopontin (SPP1) to indicate the pinopodes will be identified using qPCR.The SPP1, target of MIR424 expressed during the receptive phase.

Effect of Embryo Migration in Fresh Oocyte Donation Cycles

Infertility

The investigators aimed to evaluate the impact of embryo distance from fundal endometrium, measured 60 minutes after transabdominal ultrasound guided embryo transfer(ET), on clinical pregnancy rates(CPR) and live birth rates(LBR) in fresh oocyte donation(OD) cycles.

Study to Assess the Effect of Intrauterine Adminstration of HCG Versus Endometrial Injury by Pipelle...

Female Infertility

Our study aims to describe the effect of the intrauterine adminstration of HCG versus the endometrial injury by pipelle on the ongoing pregnancy rate and the biochemical pregnancy rate in women with unexplained infertility undergoing ovulation induction. Also to describe the effect on the first trimester miscarriage rate, ectopic pregnancy rate, and multiple pregnancy. This study is an open-label, prospective, controlled study, multi-center study. The study participants' relevant medical records will be collected and reviewed after obtaining informed consent for the participants. The study materials that will be used will include blood tests, and ultrasound. The study will involve three study arms.
