A New Tool for Automatic Ovarian Follicle Count and it Abilities to Evaluate Ovarian Reserve

Infertility

The ultrasound unit in Meir Medical Center developed new software to automated ovarian follicle count on the basis of 3D US. The investigators intent to evaluate this software at two steps: To compared the abilities of the software to physician follicle count. To evaluate with the software the antral follicle count, as expression to ovarian reserve at 3 different time of the month. The investigators believe that the software measurement of the small follicle can be better than the common antral follicle count that is use today, and by this accurate evaluation of the small follicle the investigators can evaluate the ovarian reserve at any time of the mount, and not only at the early follicular phase that use today.

Medically Assisted Procreation and Choice of the Embryo: How Far Would French People Like to go...

Infertility

In today's context of bioethics laws revision concerning Medically Assisted Procreation, the investigators focus on the opinion of couples resorting to In Vitro Fertilization on a fundamental, much debated issue ; the choice of the embryo. French lawmakers fear the investigators might be drifting towards embryo selection procedures, but no study allows us to state this is what patients request. This study aims at determining, among the population of patients who resort to Medically Assisted Procreation in France, the ratio of patients who are willing to select the embryo due to its genetic characteristics.

Abundance of Lactobacillus in Endometrium Affected by Chronic Endometritis

Non Specific Chronic EndometritisInfertility1 more

Infertile women undergoing hysteroscopy for diagnostic or therapeutic indication are asked to donate a sample of endometrium. Endometrial samples of study participants are examined for signs of chronic endometritis by immunohistochemical analysis. High-throughput sequencing of the microbial 16s ribosomal ribonucleic acid (rRNA) subunit is performed to identify and quantify the microbes present in the sample. Obstetric and reproductive outcome is recorded 12 months after hysteroscopy (telephone interview).

Abstinence Period and Semen Quality

InfertilityMale

Does period of abstinence impact progressive motility in oligoasthenoteratozoospermic (OATS) males? In the evaluation of male fertility, semen analysis is an important investigation. An abstinence between 2 and 7 days before a diagnostic semen analysis has been recommended by WHO (WHO 2010 guidelines), for the sake of standardization. The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology advises 3-4 days of abstinence before a semen analysis. The exact impact of abstinence period on sperm quality is a little complex and difficult to interpret. This study, 250 men with low sperm counts, motility and morphology will be recruited. The results will be analyzed to ascertain the impact of shorter abstinence period on semen quality
