Characterization of Sperm Population Following Different Selection Procedures
Male InfertilityThe present study aims to determine which of the sperm selection techniques used in IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) laboratory leads to selection of the best/healthiest sperm population based on their morpho-functional parameters. Different procedures are currently used in our laboratory to select the sperm population that will be used to inseminate the oocytes: Density Gradient Centrifugation (DGC), DGC in combination with Magnetic Activated Sperm Sorting (MACS), and Microfluidic Sperm Sorting (MSS). The sperm cells selected by these techniques will be evaluated for specific morpho-functional features such as, motility, morphological abnormalities, and apoptotic status [phosphatidylserine translocation (early stages of apoptosis)] and DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) fragmentation as an indicator of stages of apoptosis.
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance for Embryo Ploidy Selection
AneuploidyInfertilityThis study aims to validate the embryo culture medium analysis by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, as a faster and less-costly alternative to preimplantation genetic test for aneuploidy which could significantly enhance embryo selection and the success rate of assisted reproductive technologies.
Using Embryo Organoids to Discover Human-specific Mechanisms of Preimplantation Embryo Development...
InfertilityEMBRYOx study aims to establish and validate the use of trophoblast organoids (embryoids) from trophoblast placental stem cells as a 3D research model in understanding further preimplantation embryo development in vitro. The organoids are capable of proliferation, differentiation, and implantation in a matrix, reproducing early human embryo development.
Association Between Plasma Level of Mannose Binding Lectin and Human Reproduction
Mannose-Binding Lectin DeficiencyRecurrent Pregnancy Loss5 moreA low plasma level of mannose binding lectin (p-MBL) is associated with unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), but it is not investigated if it is associated with unexplained reproductive failure in general, including recurrent implantation failure (RIF) after assisted reproductive technology (ART) (including IVF, ICSI and FET), recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) after spontaneous conception, and RPL after ART.
Baseline and First Trimester Uterine Artery Doppler Velocimetry to Predict Poor Obstetric Outcomes...
InfertilityFemaleThe researchers aim to determine how baseline (preconceptional) and first-trimester uterine artery Doppler measurements affect obstetric complications in women undergoing high-quality blastocyst transfer and to determine the correlation between the two Doppler measurements.
The Importance of Blastocyst Diamater and Its Correlation to Reproductive Outcomes in PGT-A Cases...
InfertilityMorphometric measurement of blastocyst diameter was taken on the day of trophoectoderm biopsy. PGT-A was done using NGS platform, followed by thawing and transfer of euploid blastocyts. Follow up of the Pregnancy and implantation rates is done and recorded to study the correlation between the diameter and reproductive outcomes of the blastocyst.
Frozen Embryo Transfer Pregnancy Outcomes Prediction by Microbiome and Transcriptome
InfertilityMicrobiomeThis study intends to explore the correlation between cervical microbiome, gut microbiome, transcriptome and pregnancy outcomes of frozen embryo transfer patients through a multicenter prospective observational study, and to explore the predictive value of microbiome on pregnancy outcome.
Time Lapse Assisted Embryo Selection Versus Non Invasive PGT-A Assisted Embryo Selection
InfertilityAneuploidy1 moreThis is a prospective randomised study of the evaluation of the clinical IVF results after time lapse assisted embryo selection versus Non-invasive PGT-A assisted embryo selection in subfertile women.
SpermQT Prospective Observational Trial
Male InfertilityThe goal of the study is to validate the ability of the Epigenetic Sperm Quality Test (SpermQT) to assess a man's sperm quality and corresponding success of infertility treatments.
Impact of Endometrial Compaction on Reproductive Outcomes After Cryotransfer of Euploid Embryos...
Infertility Due to NonimplantationMulticenter prospective observational cohort study, comparing ongoing pregnancy rates in natural cycles for euploid embryo transfer in patients who present endometrial compaction at the time of the transfer versus those who have a stable or greater endometrial thickness with respect to the estrogenic phase.
