The current study will examine both the feasibility and efficacy of a single session, web-based mindfulness-based intervention for smoking cessation. The study will explore (1) participants' subjective experiences of the intervention, (2) cravings and negative affect both before and after the intervention, and (3) changes in tobacco use one week and one month following the initial intervention. Further, the study will examine how often participants utilize the intervention between the initial study and follow-up periods.

The purpose of this study is 1) to evaluate whether emergency department-initiated medically assisted treatment with Buprenorphine/Naloxone in patients presenting with opioid use disorder will produce positive outcomes at 1 week, 3 months and 6 months after treatment initiation, and 2) to determine whether emergency department referrals to a bridge clinic improve outcomes relative to direct referrals to a local waivered physician.

This will be a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, placebo- and active controlled, 5 treatment, 10 sequence, 5 period crossover single dose, Williams square design study in healthy adult, non drug dependent male and female participants with drug abuse experience with sedative drugs.

The proposed study aims to evaluate the effect of an innovative intervention for returning people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to work: Individual Placement and Support (IPS).

The purposes of this study are as follows: 1. To assess the cardiovascular and subjective effects of cocaine during treatment with pramipexole and placebo. 2. To assess the reinforcing effects of cocaine, measured using choice procedures, during treatment with pramipexole and placebo.

The purpose of this study is to determinate the effect of a pre-treatment with bupropion, a dopamine and norepinephrine transporter inhibitor, on the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA, "Ecstasy"). The study will provide further understanding of the dopaminergic regulation of mood.

Primary care settings (PCS) are a missed opportunity for delivering evidence-based treatments for opiate and alcohol-use disorders (OAUD). The investigators propose to evaluate the costs and effectiveness of two strategies to increase the delivery of OAUD treatments in PCS, integrated collaborative care (ICC) and education and resources (E&R). The investigators hypothesize that ICC will be more effective than E&R in promoting A. Implementation outcomes B. Service system outcomes and C. Patient outcomes. Results from our study will help providers choose between two different strategies and advance the field of implementation research.

The purpose of this project is to develop and test a Home-based Continuing Care intervention that will help parents support the recovery of their Young Adult (YA) child who is leaving residential substance abuse treatment. The two phase pilot study will 1) interview 50 parents and 50 YAs recruited from residential treatment programs and from parent groups to inform the development of the intervention and 2) conduct a two-arm pilot study that will recruit a maximum of 20 parents and their young adult children into one of two conditions (Home-based Continuing Care [HCC] intervention group or Services as Usual [SAU] comparison group) with the main goal of determining whether conducting such an intervention is acceptable and sustainable, and to collect preliminary efficacy data. We hypothesize that pilot testing will indicate that: (a) HCC is acceptable and potentially sustainable; (b) conducting a randomized clinical trial is feasible, and (c) the magnitude of outcomes from HCC will be clinically meaningful.

This Phase Ib pilot RCT will examine the safety, feasibility, and acceptability of a multi-component intervention to address traumatic stress symptoms among HIV-positive, methamphetamine-using men who have sex with men (MSM). Following a baseline assessment, 56 participants will be randomized to receive either: 1) a 7-session intervention to address traumatic stress related to living with HIV/AIDS; or 2) a 7-session, attention-control condition. Follow-up assessments will be administered at 1 and 3 months post-randomization.

This study involves giving psychoactive drugs intramuscularly (injected into the muscle of the upper arm or the hip) and/or orally, and measuring the subject's ability to tell the difference between one drug and another, as well as measuring the effects of the drugs on mood, physiology (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate) and behavior. Each subject will receive 2-4 of the listed interventions.
