Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a common and debilitating skin disease that is poorly understood and understudied. As a result, little is known about disease prognosis and few effective treatments exist for this condition. This prospective observational cohort study aims to comprehensively characterize the clinical and biological features of HS. The results of this research will provide a basis for the development of an HS clinical classification system and identification of potential treatments for HS.

The purpose of the study is to determine whether a series of laser hair removal treatments can improve participant outcomes after deroofing procedures. A deroofing procedure is a surgery where larger hidradenitis suppurativa bumps (called nodules) and hidradenitis suppurativa tunnels (called sinus tracts) are removed and left to heal open without stitches.

This is an observational study designed to evaluate the safety and clinical outcomes of Myriad™ in soft tissue reconstruction procedures. The study will enroll participants who are undergoing a surgical procedure, where the attending physician will use Myriad™ as part of the surgical intervention.

The prevalence of common mental disorders is high in patients with chronic inflammatory physical diseases(e.g., autoimmune or infectious diseases). The traditional explanatory causation model in which physical symptoms and related disability drive mental health problems is now called into question, and evidence has accumulated supporting more complex interactions whereby psychiatric disorders can both result from and contribute to the progression of physical diseases. In the present project, the investigators will focus on comorbidity of depression and anxiety symptoms or syndromes with chronic inflammatory skin diseases (psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa and atopic dermatitis) or chronic infectious diseases (chronic HBV and HIV infection). The study is aimed to clarify the mechanisms underlying the high frequency of those comorbidities. It will overcome the main limitations of previous investigations and use innovative statistical tools to model complex interrelationships and causal links among the assessed variables. The identification of key variables driving the causal chain of determinants of poor global health and quality of life may impact treatment outcome and models of care.

Assess the efficacy of fractional ablative CO2 therapy combined with topical steroids in HS patients with Hurley stage I or stage II disease. Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic, oftentimes debilitating inflammatory skin condition that presents with painful lesions in intertriginous areas of the body. The reported prevalence of HS in the U.S. is around 1-4%. Medical therapies, which typically consist of topical or systemic antibiotics, hormone- regulating drugs, and immunomodulators, are initially used to control the disease but HS can be recalcitrant to these modalities in the long-term. Optimizing management of mild-moderate HS is crucial to prevent disease progression and improve patients' quality of life.

This is a survey study being conducted to describe how subjects with Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) respond to treatment with gentian violet. The study will rely primarily on qualitative survey responses and quantitative changes in skin appearance.

The overall aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of an interdisciplinary combined clinic intervention compared to usual care in a population of patients with two or more Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs).

In a prospective observational cohort study (n = 250) the investigators aim to assess the correlation between cardiac biomarkers, advanced echocardiography and HS severity and determine whether these are prognostic markers of heart disease in patients suffering from hidradenitis suppurativa (HS).

This mechanistic observational study will build on data from humans implicating TRPV1 nociceptors in the pathogenesis of the Type-17 chronic inflammatory skin disease Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS). In this study, the investigators will test the hypothesis that inhibiting neuropeptide activity with botulinum toxin reduces pathogenic IL-17 inflammation, relieves pain, and improves quality of life for HS patients.
