Vaginal Cuff Dehiscence at Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

Surgical Wound Dehiscence

The aim of this study is to assess a major complication of total laparoscopic hysterectomy, vaginal dehiscence, with two different colpotomy techniques. With this aim patients to be operated for laparoscopic hysterectomy will be randomized to two different techniques. The colpotomy will be undertaken by 'cut mode' in the first group and 'coagulation mode' in the second group. All of the operations will be preformed by the same surgical at a university hospital. Vaginal dehiscence after surgery is the primary outcome measure.

Myomectomy Operation and Fundus Incision, Energy Modalities and Methods of Extraction

Myoma;UterusSurgery

Myomectomy operation due to myoma uteri is an operation that can cause serious blood loss. For some anatomical reasons, fundal myomas were removed, while a group of investigators recommended the initiation of a longitudinal incision and some surgeons preferred a transverse incision. the authors aim to show some surgical differences, intraoperative blood loss, and difficulties and ease of removal of myoma in patients with these approaches without consensus. It is also noted that the incision made with the same energy modality is recorded; The effect of energy modality on blood loss and surgical comfort will be examined. Different approaches are used for laparoscopic surgical operations in order to remove myoma from the abdomen. It can be removed from the vagina by colpotomy and can also be minimized in the abdomen by a morselator. In particular, patients with vaginal myoma removed, such as complaints of postoperative dyspareunia will be followed. In this way, the investigators aim to evaluate the methods which have not yet gained clarity in the literature or have not proven superiority to each other.

Closed Incision Disposable Negative Pressure Wound Therapy in Immediate Postmastectomy Breast Reconstruction...

Breast CancerBreast Reconstruction

The study aimed to assess the impact of the use of closed incision negative pressure wound therapy (ciNPWT) after immediate breast reconstruction on the number of surgical-site complications, skin surface temperature, objective elastic and viscoelastic and subjective scar's quality to determine risk factors that could be considered as indications for prophylactic ciNPWT application.

Study Comparing Mini-Incision Versus 2-Incision Approach for Total Hip Replacement

Osteoarthritis

The purpose of the research is to determine if there is a difference between two of the commonly used less invasive techniques (surgical methods that use a smaller incision or cut in the skin) used to perform total hip arthroplasty (replacement of your painful hip with a new ball and socket). It is unclear which of these techniques is associated with a faster recovery and lower risk of complications.

Skin Perfusion After Abdominal Surgery

Surgical Wound Infection

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the consequences of 3 selected surgical procedures on abdominal wall perfusion in order to help to reduce postoperative complication related to inadequate tissue perfusion. The selected surgical procedures are a) abdominoplasty, b) breast reconstruction with a free flap from the lower abdomen and c) endovascular stenting of an abdominal aorta aneurism. These operations are all standard surgical procedures frequently performed at the University Hospital of North Norway, Tromsø. The abdominal wall perfusion will be evaluated with the use of Dynamic Infrared Thermography (DIRT).
