Impact of Residual Syntax Score and Syntax Revascularization Index on Outcomes of ACS Patients With...

STEMI - ST Elevation Myocardial InfarctionMulti Vessel Coronary Artery Disease2 more

The investigators want to assess the use of the residual SYNTAX score and the SYNTAX Revascularization Index as predictors for in-hospital outcomes and mid-term (6 months to 1 year) outcomes in patients with multi-vessel disease (MVD) who undergo PCI in the setting of STEMI or NSTEACS. Both values will be calculated in a number of patients over one year, and the relationship between both values and patient outcomes will be evaluated.

Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome

A prospective observation study to screen adult obese (BMI ≥30 kg/m2) patients who were newly admitted to the medical intensive care units and turned out to be diagnosed as Obesity hypoventilation syndrome(OHS). The investigators purpose is to look into the prevalence, predictive factors, and outcomes of OHS in these critically ill patients.

Change of Dual Antiplatelet Therapy in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome

Acute Coronary SyndromePercutaneous Coronary Intervention1 more

Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) guidelines have been changed, favoring dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) with the more potent P2Y12 inhibitor ticagrelor over clopidogrel (besides aspirin). This change is based on studies that showed benefits of ticagrelor. However, study participants were only partly treated by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). In patients who were treated by PCI, this was generally performed using of bare metal or first-generation drug-eluting stents (DES). CHANGE DAPT is an investigator-initiated, prospective, single centre registry, in which we evaluate the impact of the guideline suggested change in the primary DAPT regimen (from clopidogrel to ticagrelor) on 1-year clinical outcome in ACS patients treated by PCI with newer-generation DES in the Thoraxcentrum Twente.

Relationship of Helicobacter Pylori Eradication Therapy and Long-term Outcome in Acute Coronary...

Acute Coronary Syndrome

Objective: To investigate the relationship between Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection and the prognosis of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in a Chinese population and to explore the significance of Hp eradication therapy in preventing major adverse cardiac events (MACE) and upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) in patients on dual antiplatelet treatment. Methods: To analyze 472 ACS patients with drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2010 in the department of cardiology at Beijing Mentougou District Hospital. Patients were divided into three groups: Group 1, the Hp-negative patients (Hp-); Group 2, the Hp-positive patients with eradication therapy (Hp+ Therapy); and Group 3, the Hp-positive patients without eradication therapy (Hp+ No Therapy). All patients took 13C urea breath test, high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP),homocysteine (HCY) and other biochemical indicators. The investigators explored the correlations of Hp eradication therapy with MACE (including recurrent myocardial infarction, revascularization and death) and UGIB after 3 to 5 years of follow-up using survival analysis.

Natural History of Pearson Syndrome

Pearson Syndrome

The purpose of this 3-year, multi-site, non-randomized, prospective, observational study is to characterize the natural history of Pearson Syndrome. The Syndrome is a rare mitochondrial disorder due to a large-scale mtDNA deletion. Children typically present in their 1st two years of life (most in infancy) with anemia and/or pancreatitis. Most individuals with Pearson Syndrome die in childhood. Those who survive evolve to Kearns-Sayre Syndrome/Chronic Progressive External Ophthalmoplegia (KSS/CPEO) although accurate survival estimates are not yet known.

Acute Coronary Syndrome

The TREASURE observational study is designed to address the need to understand the usage pattern of Ticagrelor in real life scenario in large number of ACS (Acute Coronary Syndrome) patients in India. The aim of this national study is to understand the usage pattern (including the duration of treatment) of Ticagrelor in various ACS patient population undergoing PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft) or medical management in a real-life setting in India.

CCC Project- Acute Coronary Syndrome

Acute Coronary Syndrome

To develop and implement quality improvement programs for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in China based on the successful experience of the AHA-Get with the Guidelines program. This program will use data collection, analysis, feedback, and process improvement to extend the use of evidence-based guidelines throughout the healthcare system and improve patient care of acute coronary syndrome.
