Ipilimumab and Local Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Recurrent Melanoma, Non-Hodgkin...
Adult Nasal Type Extranodal NK/T-cell LymphomaAnaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma32 moreThis pilot phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best of dose ipilimumab when given together with local radiation therapy and to see how well it works in treating patients with recurrent melanoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, colon, or rectal cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as ipilimumab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Radiation therapy uses high energy x rays to kill cancer cells. Giving monoclonal antibody therapy together with radiation therapy may be an effective treatment for melanoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, colon, or rectal cancer
Methotrexate Followed by Fludarabine in Patients With T-Cell Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia...
T-Cell Large Granular Lymphocytic LeukemiaRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as methotrexate and fludarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well methotrexate works as first-line therapy and fludarabine works as second-line therapy in treating patients with T-cell large granular lymphocytic leukemia.
Brentuximab Vedotin + Rituximab as Frontline Therapy for Pts w/ CD30+ and/or EBV+ Lymphomas
Adult Grade III Lymphomatoid GranulomatosisAdult Nasal Type Extranodal NK/T-cell Lymphoma116 moreThe purpose of this study is to evaluate how safe and effective the combination of two different drugs (brentuximab vedotin and rituximab) is in patients with certain types of lymphoma. This study is for patients who have a type of lymphoma that expresses a tumor marker called CD30 and/or a type that is associated with the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV-related lymphoma) and who have not yet received any treatment for their cancer, except for dose-reduction or discontinuation (stoppage) of medications used to prevent rejection of transplanted organs (for those patients who have undergone transplantation). This study is investigating the combination of brentuximab vedotin and rituximab as a first treatment for lymphoma patients
Alemtuzumab in Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), Aplastic Anemia, and T-Cell Large Granular Lymphocytic...
LeukemiaThe goal of this clinical research study is to determine the effectiveness of alemtuzumab in patients with aplastic anemia, MDS, or T-Cell large granular lymphocytic leukemia. The safety of alemtuzumab will also be studied.
Effect of Cyclosporine Therapy on Gene Expression in Patients With Large Granular Lymphocyte Leukemia...
Large Granular Lymphocytic LeukemiaLGL LeukemiaBackground: Large granular lymphocyte (LGL) leukemia is a low-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. LGL is associated with low numbers of white blood cells (leading to recurring infections), red blood cells (causing anemia) and platelets (causing abnormal bleeding). Cyclosporine (CSA) is an immunosuppressive drug that improves low blood cell counts in about 50 percent of patients with LGL leukemia. Objectives: To identify what factors determine why cyclosporine works in some patients and not in others. To identify what causes low blood counts in LGL leukemia. Eligibility: Patients 18 years of age and older with LGL leukemia. Design: Patients have a medical history, physical examination blood tests, bone marrow biopsy and x-ray studies, including chest x-rays and computed tomography (CT) scans of the chest, abdomen and pelvis. Patients with an easily accessible enlarged lymph node have a node biopsy (removal of a small piece of tissue for microscopic examination). Patients take cyclosporine twice a day by mouth. Blood samples are taken at least weekly to adjust the cyclosporine dosing to maintain therapeutic serum levels. Patients undergo apheresis (collection of white blood cells) at a number of different time points in the study (maximum 6 times) to look at the differences in the leukemia cells before and during treatment with cyclosporine. For apheresis, blood is withdrawn through a needle in an arm vein and directed through a catheter (plastic tube) into a machine that separates it into its components. The white cells are extracted and the rest of the blood is returned through the same needle or through a second needle in the other arm.
Sunitinib in Treating Patients With Idiopathic Myelofibrosis
Accelerated Phase Chronic Myelogenous LeukemiaAcute Undifferentiated Leukemia32 moreThis phase II trial is studying how well sunitinib works in treating patients with idiopathic myelofibrosis. Sunitinib may stop the growth of abnormal cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the abnormal cells.
Donor T Cells After Donor Stem Cell Transplant in Treating Patients With Hematologic Malignancies...
Accelerated Phase Chronic Myelogenous LeukemiaAdult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With 11q23 (MLL) Abnormalities62 moreThis pilot phase II trial studies how well giving donor T cells after donor stem cell transplant works in treating patients with hematologic malignancies. In a donor stem cell transplant, the donated stem cells may replace the patient's immune cells and help destroy any remaining cancer cells (graft-versus-tumor effect). Giving an infusion of the donor's T cells (donor lymphocyte infusion) after the transplant may help increase this effect.
MK2206 in Treating Younger Patients With Recurrent or Refractory Solid Tumors or Leukemia
Accelerated Phase Chronic Myelogenous LeukemiaAcute Leukemias of Ambiguous Lineage52 moreThis phase I trial is studying the side effects, best way to give, and best dose of Akt inhibitor MK2206 (MK2206) in treating patients with recurrent or refractory solid tumors or leukemia. MK2206 may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
Lenalidomide After Donor Bone Marrow Transplant in Treating Patients With High-Risk Hematologic...
Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia in RemissionAdult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Inv(16)(p13.1q22); CBFB-MYH1140 moreThis phase I clinical trial is studying the side effects and the best dose of lenalidomide after donor bone marrow transplant in treating patients with high-risk hematologic cancer. Biological therapies, such as lenalidomide, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop cancer cells from growing.
Bevacizumab and Cediranib Maleate in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Unresectable Solid Tumor,...
Adult Grade III Lymphomatoid GranulomatosisAdult Nasal Type Extranodal NK/T-cell Lymphoma63 moreThis phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of bevacizumab and cediranib maleate in treating patients with metastatic or unresectable solid tumor, lymphoma, intracranial glioblastoma, gliosarcoma or anaplastic astrocytoma. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Cediranib maleate may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Bevacizumab and cediranib maleate may also stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking blood flow to the cancer. Giving bevacizumab together with cediranib maleate may kill more cancer cells.
