Hematopoietic/Lymphoid CancerAccelerated Phase Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia155 moreRATIONALE: Infection prophylaxis and management may help prevent cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection caused by a stem cell transplant. PURPOSE:This clinical trial studies infection prophylaxis and management in treating cytomegalovirus infection in patients with hematologic malignancies previously treated with donor stem cell transplant.
Agrylin Drug Use-Result Survey
Essential Thrombocythemia (ET)The objective of this survey is to collect data to evaluate the safety and efficacy of anagrelide hydrochloride in the post-marketing phase in participants diagnosed with Essential Thrombocythemia (ET).
Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress and Resistance to Treatments in Ph-negative Myeloproliferative Neoplasms...
Polycythemia VeraEssential ThrombocythemiaThe aim of this study is to evaluate the endoplasmic reticulum stress markers as predictive for response to hydroxyurea in polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET).
Treatment of Polycythaemia Vera and Essential Thrombocythaemia: Influence on the Clot Structure...
Polycythemia VeraThrombocythemia1 moreMyeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) such as Polycythemia Vera (PV) and, Essential Thrombocythaemia (ET) are rare clonal myeloid neoplasms associated with an increased risk of both venous and arterial thrombosis. Thrombotic complications are the main determinant of morbidity and in a less extend mortality. Routine haemostasis analysis (TP, aPTT) are usually normal and are useless to demonstrate a hypercoagulable state. However, previous evidence suggests that global coagulation tests such as thrombin generation or thromboelastometry are able to detect signs of procoagulant imbalance in MPN. Similarly, current data seems to demonstrate that fibrin clot properties (clot permeability, turbidimetry, clot lysis time) properties is altered suggesting an hypercoagulable state. Goals of PV and ET treatments are to control blood count to reduce the risk of thrombotic events. Moreover, new drugs such as Janus Kinase Inhibitors (JAKi) were recently licensed for PV and are under investigations on clinical trial for ET. It is currently unknown if treatments that were used for ET and PV, and especially JAKi are able to modify the hypercoagulable state that is observed in those diseases, and if there is difference between drugs. To evaluate impact of MPN treatment on prothrombotic haemostatic profile, we propose to evaluate global coagulation and fibrin clot properties in MPN, depending on the treatment.
French Observational Xagrid (FOX) Study In Adult Patients With Essential Thrombocythemia
Essential ThrombocythemiaThis is an observational study to explore how different treatment regimens affect continuation with treatment in the first 6 months following initiation of XAGRID into adult patients' essential thrombocythemia therapy.
Secondary Cancers in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPN-K Study)
Polycythemia VeraEssential Thrombocythemia1 moreThe incidence of secondary cancer (SC) in patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) is high and comparable to that of thrombosis. However, the identification of patient subgroups that might be at increased susceptibility of developing SC has not been systematically addressed. This international case-control study (MPN-K) is aimed to elucidate the prognostic role of JAK2V617F mutation in predicting the occurrence of SC in patients with classical MPN, polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythemia (ET) and myelofibrosis (MF)

Polycythemia VeraEssential Thrombocythemia1 moreThe purpose of this project is to find genes whose mutations cause Polycythemia Vera, Essential Thrombocythemia and Primary Myelofibrosis.
Arterial Function and Atherosclerosis in Essential Thrombocythemia
AtherosclerosisThe aim of the study is to examine (a) whether patients with JAK2 V617F positive ET in comparison to age-and sex-matched, apparently healthy control subjects show more advanced progression of arterial stiffness, pulse-wave velocity and coronary calcium score in a 4 year observation period, and (b) whether the burden of JAK2 V617F mutation correlates with the measured vascular parameters. All subjects will be examined twice. The first visit already took place between the years 2014 - 2015 and the second visit will take place between 2018-2019. All participants will have signed their informed consent before entering the study. Each visit will consist of completing a structured questionnaire (on personal and family medical history, risk factors for CVD and medication), physical examination, donating a blood sample for laboratory tests and undergoing carotid ultrasound and coronary calcium measurement oft the extent of coronary artery calcification. At the first and the second examination the JAK2 V617F allele burden, i.e. the percentage of mutated alleles, will be determined from genomic DNA in peripheral blood.
Exploratory Multi-centre Trial In Patients With ET Treated With XAGRID®
Essential Thrombocythemia (ET)This study is hypothesis-generating to explore the impact of JAK2 (V617F) mutation status on the treatment response to anagrelide hydrochloride
