Cerebral Dysfunction in Chronic ITPwith High Risk of Serious Bleeding Excluding Intracranial Hemorrhage....
Chronic ThrombocytopeniaIntracranial hemorrhage despite being rare, several chronic ITP patients experience moderate to severe behavioral problems including learning difficulties, memory affection .These changes could be due to the presence of minute capillary dysfunction
Pharmacogenomics of Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia
Heparin-induced ThrombocytopeniaThe purpose of this research is to identify genomic markers that can predict heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), which is a very serious side effect to heparin. Heparin is commonly used to prevent blood clots and the investigators may be able to identify genomic markers which can be used to prevent heparin use in people who will get HIT.
Comparison Between Methyl Prednisolone and Intravenous Dexamethazone in Severe Immune Thrombocytopenic...
Immune ThrombocytopeniaImmune thrombocytopenic purpra(ITP) is an autoimmune thrombocytopenic syndrome characterized by decreased platelet count and increased risk of bleeding, primarily due to immunoglobulins G(IgG)autoantibodies opsonizing the individual's platelets, resulting in markedly enhanced Fc receptors(FcR)-mediated phagocytosis and destruction by macrophages in the reticuloendothelial system within spleen Severe ITP defined as :Patients who have clinically relevant bleeding that mean that patients have bleeding symptoms at presentation sufficient to mandate treatment,or occurrence of new bleeding symptoms requiring additional therapeutic intervention with a different platelet-enhancing agent or an increased dose.
The ITP-RITUX Cohort: Rituximab in Immune ThrombocytoPenia.
PurpuraThrombocytopenic2 moreThe primary purpose of the study is to describe by a prospective observational study the serious adverse events occurring in patients treated off-label by rituximab for Immune Thrombocytopenia.
Effect of DNMT SNPs on DNA Methylation in Primary ITP
Primary Immune ThrombocytopeniaTo compare global DNA methylation status between ITP patients and healthy subjects . To determine the effect of DNMT3A -448 G/A SNP variant A allele and DNMT3B -149C/T SNP variant T-allele on global DNA methylation in both ITP patients and healthy control subjects.
Evaluation of HRQoL in Adult With Immune Thrombocytopenia in China
Immune ThrombocytopeniaImmune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a heterogeneous disorder with variable clinical symptomsHealth related quality of life (HRQoL) could be considered in ITP, as in numerous chronic diseases, as a method to provide information about the effects of medical interventions. Symptoms of ITP, such as spontaneous bruising, menorrhagia, mucosal bleeding and prolonged bleeding with injury, may significantly affect HRQoL in ITP subjects. Treatments for chronic ITP can also be associated with substantial side effects. Restoring and/or maintaining quality of life should be an important goal of treatment. We conducted a real-world multicenter study using SF-36 and ITP-PAQ questionnaires to assess the HRQoL in patients with ITP in the real world, and analyze the influencing factors of HRQoL so as to provide a sufficient basis for clinical decision making.
Neurodevelopmental Outcome After Fetal Neonatal AlloImmune Thrombocytopenia
Fetal and Neonatal Alloimmune ThrombocytopeniaLong Term Adverse Effects2 moreFetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT) is a disease caused by allo-immunisation during pregnancy. If left untreated, FNAIT can lead to severe fetal intracranial haemorrhage. This complication can be prevented by weekly administration of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) to the mother during pregnancy. Knowledge on long-term development of FNAIT survivors with or without IVIg treatment is very limited but an important subject in the counselling of parents of newly diagnosed cases. To evaluate the long-term neurodevelopmental outcome in two groups of children with FNAIT will be asked to participate in our study in an outpatient clinic setting.
Vitamin B6 on Relieving Linezolid-associated Cytopenias
CytopeniasErythropenia (Diagnosis)Linezolid is the first approved synthetic oxazolidinone that is active against multidrug-resistant Gram-positive pathogens. Because of its significant efficacy, linezolid is widely used in clinical treatment. However, the side effects of linezolid commonly lead to anemia and thrombocytopenia. This hematological toxic effects limit its prolonged used. The investigators have found that Vitamin B6 application, as a preventive, auxiliary therapy, can relieve anemia and thrombocytopenia. The present study was designed to verify the effects of Vitamin B6 in the prevention of linezolid-associated cytopenias and investigate its mechanism.
The Alteration of Macrophage Function in the Spleen Tissues From Patients With Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia...
Immune ThrombocytopeniaThis project was undertaken by Qilu Hospital of Shandong University and other well-known hospitals in China. In order to report the alteration on the macrophage function in the spleen tissue of primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).
MAP to Provide Access to Eltrombopag, for Treatment of Patients With Medically Significant Thrombocytopenia...
ThrombocytopeniaThe purpose of this Cohort Treatment Plan is to allow access to eltrombopag for eligible patients diagnosed with medically significant thrombocytopenia. The patient's Treating Physician should follow the suggested treatment guidelines and comply with all local health authority regulations.
