Prognostic Factors in Patients Submitted to Surgical Treatment for Thymoma
ThymomaComputed Tomography3 moreThymoma is the most common primary tumor of the anterior mediastinum. Complete surgical resection is the mainstay of treatment of these tumors. The staging and histological classification of thymoma is still a matter of discussion. Preoperative computed tomography (CT) scan parameters that correlate with histology, stage and prognosis also still have to be completely assessed. The aim of this study is to evaluate the potential association between clinical, radiologic and pathologic characteristics in patients submitted to surgical treatment for thymoma, assessing their prognostic value. Data of patients submitted to surgical resection for pathologically proven thymoma at our Department of Thoracic Surgery between January 2005 and December 2015 will be retrospectively reviewed. The correlation of preoperative CT scan features, histological and pathological characteristics of thymomas will be evaluated, assessing the prognostic role of these factors.
Genetic Evaluation of Families With Endocrine Cancers
Pancreatic CancerThymic Cancer2 moreThis study is being conducted to identify altered genetic factors that may exist and influence endocrine cancers in unrelated MEN1 families with different cancers. A grading system will be developed for endocrine cancers, including pancreatic cancers, thymus gland cancers, parathyroid disease and MEN1 syndrome as low-risk and high-risk to improve screening and timing of surgery.
Characteristics of Patients With Thymoma in Chulalongkorn Hospital
Thymoma StagingClinical Presentations2 moreThe purpose of this study is to study characteristics of patients with thymoma in Chulalongkorn hospital between 2003-2007.
Biology of Thymic Tumors
ThymomaThis is a retrospective analysis of biological characteristics of thymoma and thymic carcinoma patients.
Thoracic OncoGeriatric Assessment (TOGA) Trials
Thoracic NeoplasmsLung Neoplasms3 moreOur goal is to develop a reliable, physician and patient-friendly, pre-operative Thoracic Onco-Geriatric Assessment (TOGA) to predict surgical risk in geriatric oncology patients with thoracic neoplasms of the lung, esophagus, pleura and thymus, modeled upon existing CGA tools, including the Preoperative Assessment of Cancer in the Elderly (PACE)
A Phase 2 Clinical Study of YY-20394 in Patients With Relapsed/Refractory Thymic Cancer
Effectiveness,Safety,Thymic CancerThis study is a single-arm, open, multi-center phase II clinical trial, the main purpose of which is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of YY-20394 in the treatment of patients with relapsed/refractory thymic cancer. The research adopts the Simon two-stage design method, which is carried out in two stages.
Preoperative Prediction of of Thymic Epithelial Tumors by Diffusion-Weighted MR Imaging
Thymic Epithelial TumorThe aim of this study is to analyze aquaporins expression of thymic epithelial tumors and to compare them with apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) from ultra-high b-values, and to test a possibility of use of ADCuh to identify the pathological type of tumor.
