Since 2009, adult patients with acute kindney injury (AKI) at the department of Nephrology, Danderyd University Hospital and Karolinska Institutet, have been included in a prospective cohort. All patients were treated and evaluated according to a detailed clinical memorandum, and data collected prospectively. By 2020, 1861 patiens have been included of which 1519 fulfill current AKI criteria (as defined by KDIGO AKI guidelines) and will be evaluated regarding the following main research questions: Descriptive study on patient characteristics, changes in biomarkers and in-hospital outcome. One year outcome with focus on renal and cardiovascular outcomes. Long-term outcome (up to 10 years) with focus on renal and cardiovascular outcomes.

This study proposes endoscopic surgery for delayed wound healing after Achilles tendon suture which is a brand new treatment，and retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 4 cases treated with this treatment. The analysis results of the clinical efficacy of the method can serve as a reference for clinical and surgical decision-making and prognosis assessment.

Abstract Introduction: The high prevalence of sprains in the population has provided a substantial number of patients with lateral instability of the ankle. The continuity of this condition can lead to the progressive loosening of the medial containment structures, generating a multidirectional rotational instability. The deltoid approach through the imbrication of its components has been proposed as a solution for these patients. The arthroscopic technique has been described as an alternative. Methods: This is a retrospective study with patients diagnosed with multidirectional instability and submitted to an ankle arthroscopy with medial repair (arthroscopic tensioning) and lateral (arthroscopic Brostrom) between January 2018 and January 2020. All patients will fill an epidemiological questionnaire and will be evaluated for pain and function according to the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Score (AOFAS) at 12 months (6-24 months) average of follow-up. Discussion: The combined medial and lateral arthroscopic repair may be an effective and safe alternative in the treatment of multidirectional instability. The inclusion of the deltoid complex and the low invasiveness of this technique can improve the clinical outcomes of these patients. Additional studies, with a prospective and comparative methodology are required to sustain this proposal. Design: Level IV. Retrospective case series. In the course of this clinical trial, it was shown that the use of Granudacyn/VERIFORTE med wound irrigation solution in the course of adjuvant therapy supports wound healing through mechanical irrigation and moistening of the wound. No risks have been reported. The benefits of using Granudacyn/VERIFORTE med wound irrigation solution therefore outweigh the potential risks.

Increased in-hospital mortality associated with weekend admission has been reported for many acute conditions, but no study has investigated "weekend effect" for acute kidney injury requiring dialysis (AKI-D). In this study, the investigators compared mortality in AKI-D patients admitted on weekday versus weekend and assessed factors associated with increased mortality.

The purpose of this project is to investigate whether a combination of a local injection of platelet rich plasma (PRP) combined with a daily supplement of vitamin C, zinc, L-arginine, as well as high protein diet (1.5 g of protein per kilo body weight per day) can promote tissue healing in patients undergoing open upper-abdominal surgery. Primary endpoint is cases of wound infection and secondary endpoints are time of tissue regeneration (days), judged by traditional clinical observation and experimentally assessed by ultrasound. The experiment is performed as a parallel two-armed, randomized, controlled trial. A total of 40 subjects will be included in the trial i order to ensure the power of the study, despite a drop off of up to 25%.

"Remote Ischaemic PreConditioning" (RIPC) is performed prior to partial nephrectomy. Postoperative calprotectin dynamics and Blood Oxygen-Level-Dependent (BOLD) MRI are used to to demonstrate the potential renoprotective effect of RIPC

During cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass , pulmonary dysfunction remains to be a problem complicating the postoperative course of the patients.Remote ischemic preconditioning(RIPC) with transient upper limb ischemia/reperfusion is a novel, simple, cost-free,non-pharmacological and non-invasive strategy.Recent several trials suggested that RIPC could provide pulmonary protection by reducing serum biomarkers,however,whether the RIPC can improve the clinical outcomes in patients undergoing on-pump cardiac surgery,is still uncertain. The study hypothesis is: remote ischemic preconditioning will provide lung-protective effect and improve clinical outcomes in patients undergoing cardic surgery.

Spinal anesthesia is commonly used for cesarean section.However, the procedure is still have some adverse events such as high spinal block, nerve injuries or postdural puncture headache (PDPH).This is a potential complication of neuraxial anesthesia in clinical practice. The investigators are curious regarding factors determining the incidence of postdural puncture headache in parturients undergoing cesarean section after epidural blood patch.
