Research on Optimization of Rotator Cuff Injury Diagnosis Plan

Rotator Cuff Injury

Rotator cuff injury is a common cause of shoulder pain and dysfunction. Finding out patients with suspected rotator cuff injuries through physical examination of the shoulder joints, MRI further assists in the diagnosis, and final surgical diagnosis and treatment are the current standardized procedures. How to apply multiple physical examination programs to make judgments sensitively, efficiently and accurately is a clinical problem that needs to be solved urgently.

Study of the Treatment and Outcomes in Critically Ill Patients With COVID-19 and High Risk of Acute...

COVIDAcute Kidney Injury1 more

The aim is to describe the epidemiology and determine the independent risk factors for mortality and acute organ injury in AKI and to assess the impact of different treatment strategies on survival. This will allow the development of prevention strategies and design of appropriately powered intervention studies.

HEAD Injury Serum Markers and Multi-modalities for Assessing Response to Trauma

Mild Traumatic Brain Injury

The goal of HeadSMART II (HEAD injury Serum markers and Multi-modalities for Assessing Response to Trauma II) is to develop an In-Vitro Diagnostic, the BRAINBox TBI test, to aid in the diagnosis and prognosis of patients with mild traumatic brain injury, by incorporating blood biomarkers, clinical assessments, and tools to measure associated neurocognitive impairments.

Study on the Outcome of Treatment of Rotator Cuff Injury by Ultrasound-guided Injection

Rotator Cuff Injury

Rotator cuff injury is a common shoulder joint disease in clinic. If conservative treatment fails to improve pain symptoms and range of motion, the surgical indications are. Numerous studies have shown that the pain of rotator cuff injury usually comes not from the broken tendon, but from periarthritis tendonitis, bursitis or adhesive shoulder capsule, etc. Ultrasound-guided drug injection combined with conventional rehabilitation treatment can significantly improve the pain symptoms and increase joint mobility. This study intends to use prospective cohort study methods, exposed factors for ultrasound-guided injection drug treatment, establish a rotator cuff injury exposure group and the control group of shoulder joint dysfunction queue, whether of ultrasound guided drug injection therapy can increase the shoulder joint function analysis, and explore for the rotator cuff injury method provides the basis of the evidence-based conservative treatment. The establishment of a conservative treatment cohort for rotator cuff injury will also lay the foundation for the accurate rehabilitation treatment of rotator cuff injury.

Assessment of Acute Kidney Injury as a Risk Factor for Myocardial Injury After Non Cardiac Surgery...

Assesse Prevalence of Acute Kidney Injury and Myocardial Injury After Non Cardiac Surgery

Acute kidney injury (AKI) affects approximately 20% of hospitalized patients and up to 67% of those admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU), making it among the most common organ dysfunctions among the critically ill.Major adverse cardiac events (MACE) after non cardiac surgery are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. The reported incidence of postoperative myocardial infarction (POMI) among patients undergoing noncardiac surgery is between 3% and 6%.The aim of this study is to Identify the impact of acute kidney injury on the development of myocardial injury after non cardiac surgery and to correlate it with other risk factors of for MINS.

The Role of Fibrocytes in Acute Lung Injury

Acute Lung Injury(ALI)

The important character of acute lung injury (ALI) is alveolar capillary membrane damage caused by different diseases, such as sepsis, trauma and shock. One of the important pathological stages is the varying degrees of interstitial fibrosis and semi-permeable alveolar membrane fibrosis. It has been proved that CXCL12/SDF-1 (stromal cell-derived factor-1) induces fibrocyte migration, and promotes fibrosis progression. Study indicated that inhibition of TLR4 receptor signaling pathway improves fibrosis progression induced by ALI, however, the role of fibrocyte in ALI is still unclear. The fibrocytes was significantly increased in asthmatic patients with pulmonary fibrosis, which companies with increased CTGF expression. Therefore, this project assumes that fibrocyte will differentiation to fibroblast/myofibroblast in patient with acute lung injury, which in turn leads to progression of fibrosis. The central hypothesis of this project is that peripheral progenitor cell fibrocytes play an important role in alveolitis caused by acute lung injury. The overall objective of this project is to study the role of fibrocytes in acute lung injury.
