Impact of Oral Phosphorus Supplements on the 6-month Change in FGF23 Levels in Anorexic Adolescents...
MalnutritionFibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) is a recently discovered phosphaturic hormone produced by osteocytes. It is involved in phosphate-calcium metabolism (via its phosphaturic action and inhibition of 1,25-OH vitamin D). There are no published studies on the role of FGF23 in undernourished anorexic adolescents taking oral phosphorus supplements.
Incidence of Geriatric Syndromes Overlap
GERIATRIC SYNDROMESHip Fractures4 moreThe overlap of depression and delirium as geriatric syndromes present in elderly patients with hospital admission due to hip fracture has been previously studied. Nevertheless, the relationships between these two clinical processes and other geriatric syndromes, especially malnutrition, have not been studied. For this reason, a prospective cohort study has been designed to know the differences in the incidence of geriatric syndromes during hospital admission due to hip fracture in patients with and without risk of malnutrition.
Prevalence of Malnutrition in Surgery
MalnutritionSurgery1 moreNutritional disorders are highly prevalent in gastrointestinal cancer patients undergoing surgery and have shown to contribute significantly in short, mid and long-term clinical outcome. Although increasing evidence and expert suggestions there is still inadequate awareness about the clinical relevance of nutritional and metabolic alterations in surgical oncologic patients.
Nutritional Management in Respiratory Critically Ill Patients -an Observational Study in Mainland...
Nutritional DeficiencyThe important role of nutritional management in the treatment of ICU patients has been paid more and more attention. Reasonable nutritional management can improve the nutritional status of patients, reduce the risk of malnutrition, shorten the length of ICU stay, improve the quality of life of patients, and reduce the mortality of patients, thereby improving the prognosis. Many studies have investigated the nutritional status and implementation of ICU patients. It is generally believed that the nutritional status of ICU patients is not good, and the implementation of standardization needs to be improved. The data on the nutritional status and implementation of RICU patients in mainland China is rare. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation and compliance of nutritional support treatment for RICU patients in mainland China.
Nutritional Status Assessment in the Elderly Suffering From Cancer : a National Cross-UCOG Survey...
MalnutritionCancer1 moreProtein-energy malnutrition (PEM) is a frequent condition in patients suffering from cancer, especially the elderly. According to some studies, this malnutrition has important consequences in this population, by increasing the risk of treatment toxicities, premature interruption of chemotherapy, mortality and risks of complications. Identifying cases of malnutrition is an objective pursued by the National Nutrition and Health Programme and an important task of the "Unités de Coordination en Oncogériatrie". The main goal of this study is to assess the loss of weight over the 6 month-period preceding the cancer treatment, regardless of kind (chemotherapy, targeted therapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, comfort care), in the elderly suffering from cancer.

Chinese Nutritional Risk Screening and Intervention Registration Study in Geriatric Patients
MalnutritionOld AgeThis study is a multi-center observational study, led by the Department of Geriatrics, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, with 99 tertiary hospitals as sub-centers. Patients in the geriatrics department from September 2020 to September 2021 are consecutively enrolled .Basic information and nutritional risk assessment is registered and the outcome within 90 days after hospitalization will be recorded.Daily energy, protein and fiber are 75% of the target amount as the standard for feeding.
