Open label, non-comparative, prospective study to evaluate cognitive functioning in remitted depression outpatients during long-term preventive treatment with Fluvoxamine (Fevarin®)

200 persons with depression are recruited via internet depression forums devoted to depression and are randomly assigned either to the online program deprexis or to a wait-list control condition. All participants receive free-of-charge online access to deprexis either immediately or with an eight week delay. Prior to intervention and eight weeks later, both groups are assessed via an anonymous online survey which was implemented using the software package OPST®. The survey consists of different questionnaires. The Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) represents the primary outcome. It is assumed that the severity of depressive symptoms will improve to a significantly greater extent in the deprexis than in the wait-list control condition in the course of eight weeks.

A 24-week Randomized, Double-blind study treating people who suffer from depression who also have moderate to severe frown lines in forehead region with Botox injections. Subjects participating will have their photos taken and complete a questionnaire regarding their depression. They will see a psychiatrist at every visit who will assess their depression.

Lurasidone HCl is a compound that is a candidate for the treatment of major depressive with mixed features.This clinical study is designed to test how well Lurasidone works to treat major depressive disorder with mixed features.

The investigators are adapting Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT-A) for adolescents who are referred to emergency services either for a suicide attempt or for being evaluated as high risk for suicidal behavior. The investigators will recruit 15 adolescents ages 12-19 years who present with a diagnosis of major depression, dysthymic disorder, depression disorder not otherwise specified who have a history of a suicide attempt in the past 2 months or a non-medically lethal attempt that may require psychiatric hospitalization, suicide attempt that is or report current suicidal ideation with a plan/intent, and treat them in an open clinical trial. The treatment will be conducted twice weekly for the first 8 weeks of treatment and then weekly for the remaining 12 weeks of the study. Using feedback from clinicians and participants, the investigators will make further modifications to the manual in preparation for conducting a larger controlled clinical trial.

The goal of the study is to conduct a comparative randomized trial of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) vs. ketamine for patients with treatment resistant depression (TRD) in a real world setting with patient reported outcomes as primary and secondary outcome measures.

The purpose of this study is to locate clinical markers (for example, interviews, questionnaires, and computer tasks) and biological markers (for example, physiological, blood-based, or electroencephalography measurements) that predict response to cognitive behavioral therapy for depression.

In this study we are testing 2 different forms of sleep therapy to help people with insomnia and depression. As part of the study, you receive 1 of these 2 sleep therapies. We want to see how these sleep therapies help insomnia in people with depression.

Chronic pain and depression frequently co-exist in late and mid-life and contribute to increased disability, high health care costs, psychiatric comorbidity, and suicide. The investigators will recruit 60 adults from Weill Cornell Medical Associates primary care practices; participants will be randomized to either Relief (a 9 session behavioral intervention) or usual care/referral for mental health care. Research assessments are conducted with both groups at study entry (Baseline), 6, 9, and 12 weeks.

This is a pilot feasibility study of a mobile health tool (smartphone app) for primary care patients receiving treatment for depression or anxiety delivered in an integrated primary care-based behavioral health program.
