The Clinical Effects of Laser Acupuncture Therapy for OAB Women.

Overactive Bladder

Overactive bladder (OAB) is a syndrome causes urgency, with or without urgent incontinence, daytime frequency and nocturia. Urgency incontinence is more common in older women and may be associated with comorbid conditions that occur with age. The standard OAB medical treatments may induced several intolerable side effects including dry mouth, constipation, and so on, therefore alternative therapies are often considered. Acupuncture had been proved effective to OAB treatment, however, this invasive procedure also cause pain and hematoma. Laser acupuncture has minimal side effects comparing to conventional acupuncture, but its effects against OAB had never been examined. Experiments with laser acupuncture are expected to be another way to relieve OAB symptoms.

"The Effectiveness of Transvertebral Magnetic Neuromodulation in Patients With Detrusor Overactivity"...

Overactive Bladder

The main hypothesis of this study is that magnetic neuromodulation can be used to correct bladder overactivity. The investigators assume that the transvertebral magnetic stimulation can improve both the subjective state of patients evaluated through questionnaires and objective parameters evaluated through invasive and non-invasive urodynamic studies. This study will compare two protocols for magnetic stimulation of the sacral spine roots (S2-S3 segments). The investigators propose to find out the dependence of the therapeutic effect on the frequency of stimulation, the frequency of procedures and the duration of the treatment course.

Neurogenic Overactive Bladder Treatment on Parkinson's Disease Through Back Tibial Nerve Electrostimulation...

Overactive BladderParkinson Disease

Dysfunctions of the lower urinary tract are non-motor symptoms common engines in Parkinson's disease (PD). Urodynamic changes in PD include overactive bladder (OB), characterized by urgency with or without urge incontinence , usually with frequency and nocturia . The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and effectiveness of the treatment of OB in patients with PD with the use of a specific treatment: Posterior Tibial Nerve Electrostimulation (PTNE).

MIrabegron With oveRACtive bLadder Symptoms in mEn

Overactive Bladder

The proportion of male patients who participated in the phase III study of mirabegron was about 28% and the data on the efficacy and safety of mirabegron in Korean male OAB patients have limits. For this reason, this study will assess the efficacy and safety of mirabegron in Korean male OAB patients.

Effects of TENS in Autonomous System in Women With Overactive Bladder

Urinary BladderOveractive

The International Continence Society (ICS) defines overactive bladder ( OAB) as a clinical syndrome characterized by urgency with or without urge incontinence , usually accompanied by frequency and nocturia , since in the absence of proven infection or other pathology related . The negative impact on quality of life of patients with OAB is already known. The etiology and pathophysiology of OAB are not completely understood. However, studies indicate an alteration of sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve stimulation involved in the mechanism of OAB. A Transcutaneous Electrical stimulation of the Tibial Nerve ( TENS) has been studied as a noninvasive and inexpensive , treating the symptoms of this syndrome therapeutic way . However, no studies in the literature evaluating the effect of electroconvulsive therapy on the mechanisms involved in sympathetic and parasympathetic modulation in these women . The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of TENS on the sympathetic and parasympathetic system in women with OAB . This is a randomized, double -blind , which will be assessed , first, in a pilot study , 30 female patients with OAB randomly allocated into 2 groups : TENS group and placebo group. Interventions take place in one day assessment of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system are performed . After collecting the data will be analyzed in accordance with the statistical analysis.
