A Phase 2 Study Comparing Chemotherapy in Combination With OGX-427 or Placebo in Patients With Bladder...
Urologic NeoplasmsMetastatic Bladder Cancer1 moreThe primary objective of this study is to ascertain whether there is evidence of longer survival relative to the control arm for three comparisons: 600 mg OGX-427 Arm to control Arm; 1000 mg OGX-427 Arm to control Arm; and pooled 600 mg and 1000 mg OGX-427 Arms to control Arm.
Safety and Efficacy of S-8184 in Treatment of Locally Advanced, Metastatic, or Recurrent TCC of...
Urologic NeoplasmsPhase IIA, multicenter, dose escalation study evaluating the safety and efficacy of weekly S-8184 paclitaxel injectable emulsion in second line treatment of patients locally advanced, metastatic, or recurrent transitional cell carcinoma of the urothelium.
Proliposomal Intravesical Paclitaxel for Treatment of Low-Grade, Stage Ta, Non Muscle Invasive Bladder...
Bladder Cancer Cell TransitionalNon-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer8 moreThis is a single-arm, phase 1/2a study of formulated paclitaxel in subjects with low-grade, noninvasive papillary carcinoma (stage Ta) of the bladder. Part 1 of the study will enroll 6 subjects (3 per cohort) with low-grade, stage Ta transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the bladder who will receive escalating doses of paclitaxel formulated as TSD-001 every 2 weeks for 6 treatments until Dose Limiting Toxicity (or until the Maximum Deliverable Dose) is observed (Maximum Tolerated Dose established). Part 2 of the study will enroll an additional 10 subjects with low-grade, stage Ta (uni-or multifocal) TCC of the bladder who will receive weekly TSD-001 for 6 weeks at the highest nontoxic dose (i.e., MTD) established in part 1 of the study. May meet definition of low grade without histological tissue diagnosis if on cystoscopic assessment they have a solitary papillary tumor. Part 3 of the study will continue to track subjects enrolled in Parts 1 and 2 to determine rates of disease-free survival.
Pre-Operative Single Shot Rectus Sheath Block
Bladder NeoplasmProstate Neoplasm7 moreObjectives The primary objective is to demonstrate that in patients undergoing major urologic surgery, Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) opioid consumption in the first 24 hours after surgery will be significantly less in patients who have had a single shot rectus sheath block pre-operatively in addition to a post-operative rectus sheath continuous block via surgically placed catheter versus those who only have post-operative rectus sheath continuous block. Secondary outcomes will be opioid requirement intra-operatively, Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) pain scores including maximum pain score in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and score at 24 and 48 hours, incidence and severity of nausea, number of vomiting episodes, sedation score, time to first bowel movement, time to first mobilization and duration of hospital stay.
Study of A166 in Patients With Relapsed/Refractory Cancers Expressing HER2 Antigen or Having Amplified...
HER2-positive Breast CancerHER2 Gene Mutation42 moreOpen-label, Phase I-II, first-in-human (FIH) study for A166 monotherapy in HER2-expressing or amplified patients who progressed on or did not respond to available standard therapies. Patients must have documented HER2 expression or amplification. The patient must have exhausted available standard therapies. Patients will receive study drug as a single IV infusion. Cycles will continue until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.
2nd Line Gemcitabine Monotherapy for Transitional Cell Carcinoma of Urothelium (TCC) After CDDP...
Urologic NeoplasmsCarcinoma1 moreTo investigate efficacy and safety of 2nd line GEM monotherapy after CDDP regimen for patients with transitional cell carcinoma of urothelium
Trastuzumab (Herceptin), Paclitaxel, Carboplatin and Gemcitabine in Advanced Urothelial Cancer
Urologic NeoplasmsPurpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of treatment with trastuzumab (Herceptin) along with the three other chemotherapy drugs, paclitaxel, carboplatin and gemcitabine, in patients who have advanced urothelial cancer. This clinical trial will also collect information (alternative therapy, response rates, overall survival) from enrolled patients with HER2 negative tumors who are ineligible to receive study treatment.
Dose Escalation Study to Assess the Safety, Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmacodynamics...
AstrocytomaBrain Cancer21 moreThis is a multi-center, open-label, dose escalation study to determine the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of QBS10072S in patients with advanced or metastatic cancers with high LAT1 expression. The MTD of QBS10072S will be confirmed in patients with relapsed or refractory grade 4 astrocytoma.
Afatinib Monotherapy in Patients With ERBB-deregulated Metastatic Urothelial Tract Carcinoma After...
Urologic NeoplasmsThe purpose of this trial is to assess the anti-tumour activity and safety of afatinib monotherapy in patients with urothelial tract carcinoma carrying ERBB2 or ERBB3 (Erythroblastic leukaemia viral oncogene homolog of the human epidermal growth factor family of receptors) mutations or ERBB2 amplifications (Cohort A), and EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor) amplification positive tumours (Cohort B), progressing despite previous platinum based chemotherapy, and thereby to improve their prognosis. The antitumour activity of afatinib monotherapy in these patients will be assessed by progression free survival rate at 6 months (PFS6). This will be the primary endpoint of the trial. A key secondary endpoint will also be defined, the objective response rate (ORR).
Correlation Between Intraocular Pressure Measurement by Tomometer and Anterior Chamber Depth Measurement...
Urological CancerGastrointestinal Cancer1 moreIntra ocular pressure (IOP) may theoretically increase due to steep Trendelenberg position and studies showed that IOP reaches peak levels after steep Trendelenberg position on an average of 13 mmHg higher than preanesthesia induction values. Major determinants of IOP are aqueous humor flow, choroidal blood volume, central venous pressure and extra ocular muscle tone. Hassen GW et al measured anterior chamber depth in 2 patients with glaucoma and compared the anterior chamber depth (ACD) with the intraocular pressure measured by tonometer. They concluded that bedside ultrasound could be useful in evaluating patient with suspected increased IOP, who are unable to open their eyes.
