Endometrial Volume as a Predictor of Endometrial Pathology in Perimenopausal Uterine Bleeding Endometrial...

Endometrial Disorder

Endometrial thickness has been used as an indicator of risk for endometrial hyperplasia and carcinoma in asymptomatic perimenopausal women. However, there is no cutoff value in perimenopausal women and the same thickness does not express the same endometrial volume in different endometrium because uterine lengths may be different and endometrial irregularities may exist. Many studies assessed endometrial volume measured by three-dimensional (3D) TVS as a predictor of malignancy in women with postmenopausal bleeding. To our knowledge there is no study assess endometrial volume measured by two dimension TVS in prediction of endometrial pathology, however it is cheap and available than 3D TVS.

Electronic Catheter Stethoscope

Pelvic Organ ProlapseGynecologic Cancers6 more

This is an observational, exploratory study designed to collect (record) and analyze normal and abnormal sound data from the human bladder during surgery using a novel sensor-based catheter system (Electronic Catheter Stethoscope) and to develop algorithms to detect changes of baseline bladder and ureteral function. The Electronic Catheter Stethoscope device will measure acoustic and pressure data within the bladder. The measurements will be used to detect any leakage from the bladder and/or changes in baseline ureteral flow by correlation of sound data with surgical data reported by the surgeon. These data will be used to develop algorithms to detect changes of baseline bladder and ureteral function. The algorithms will be tested in future clinical trials.

Plethysmography Variability Index Monitoring for Parturients With Antepartum Hemorrhage

Antepartum Hemorrhage

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of continuous noninvasive intraoperative plethesmography variability index in conjunction with Hemoglobin levels monitoring using Masimo Radical-7™ Pulse CO-Oximeter during elective cesarean sections in patients with antepartum and intrapartum hemorrhage as a guide for fluid and blood transfusion practice .

Role of Office Hysteroscope in Premenopausal Uterine Bleeding

Uterine Bleeding

The aim of this study is to photographically characterize the endometrium in patients presenting with abnormal uterine bleeding at age group from 20 to 45 years old. and compare dilatation and curettage with hysteroscopy in obtaining an accurate diagnosis of the etiology of abnormal uterine bleeding.

4K Versus 3D Laparoscopic Colporraphy by Surgeons in Training: a Prospective Randomized Trial

Uterine FibroidUterine Bleeding1 more

This prospective randomized trial aims to assess if the operative time of vaginal cuff suture performed by trainees could be reduced using 3D laparoscopy instead of 4K laparoscopy.

Can 3D Laparoscopy Improve Surgical Performances in Surgeons in Training?

Uterine FibroidUterine Bleeding1 more

Due to the inconclusive results on the benefits of 3D laparoscopic system present in literature, this prospective randomised pilot study aims to assess if the operative time of total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) for benign indication performed by trainees could be reduced using 3D laparoscopy instead of standard laparoscopy.

Questionnaire for Obstetricians and Anesthesiologist

Uterine BleedingAtony2 more

The research was planned as a face-to-face survey evaluation. The questionnaire will be applied to obstetricians and anesthesiologists working in public and private hospitals. The universe of the research will be selected by simple random sampling method, and the total number of people who will participate is planned to be 200, approximately 100 from each of the two branches. Our survey consists of 5 parts structurally. Demographic data, rate of cesarean section and postpartum hemorrhage, uterotonic agent preferences in low/high risk cesarean section surgeries, the preference for second-line uterotonic agents, and the dose preferences of uterotonic agents.
