HPV-Based Screen-and-Treat Demonstration Project in Lilongwe

HPV InfectionCervical Cancer1 more

The purpose of this study is to assess completion and performance of the following novel invasive cervical cancer (ICC) screen-and-treat algorithm among 625 HIV-positive women in Lilongwe, Malawi: 1) rapid testing of self-collected vaginal brush for primary high risk (hr)-human papillomavirus (HPV), 2) same-day visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) for women who are hr-HPV positive, and 3) thermocoagulation for VIA positive/ablation-eligible (by cervical colposcopy) women.

Recurrent or Metastatic Cervical Cancer

This is a randomized, open-label, 3-arm Phase 2 study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SHR-1210 alone or with SHR-1020 versus physician's choice chemotherapy in recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer patients. All enrolled patients will be randomly divided into 3 groups and receive treatment until disease progression, intolerable toxicity, any criterion for stopping the study drug or SHR-1210 treatment for up to 2 years.

TSR-042 as Maintenance Therapy for Patients With High-risk Locally Advanced Cervical Cancer After...

Cervical CancerAdvanced Cancer

Patients with locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) despite definitive chemo-radiotherapy, has a poor progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). The hypothesis is that the use of TSR-042, checkpoint inhibitor, as consolidation therapy following concurrent chemo-radiation would increase PFS in these patients. The incorporation of immunotherapy after chemo-radiation is one the best scenarios for this approach, since takes advantages of "the ideal microenvironment" created after radiation. In a similar rationale, the phase 3 study that compared the anti-programmed death ligand 1 antibody durvalumab as consolidation therapy with placebo in patients with stage III NSCLC who did not have disease progression after two or more cycles of platinum-based chemoradiotherapy, showed that progression-free survival was significantly longer with durvalumab than with placebo in all sub-groups regardless of response obtained to chemotherapy, namely patients with stable disease (SD) gained the same benefit that patients with partial response (PR). Due to the aforementioned biology of cervical cancer, the proven activity of anti programmed cell death protein 1 (Anti-PD1) agents in metastatic and/or recurrent cervical cancer and the poor PFS and OS in patients with LACC despite definitive chemo-radiotherapy, we consider to analyze the Anti-PD1 agent, TSR-042 as maintenance therapy after concurrent chemo-radiation (CCRT)

Efficacy and Safety Study of First-line Treatment With Pembrolizumab (MK-3475) Plus Chemotherapy...

Cervical Cancer

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) plus one of four platinum-based chemotherapy regimens compared to the efficacy and safety of placebo plus one of four platinum-based chemotherapy regimens in the treatment of adult women with persistent, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer. Possible chemotherapy regimens include: paclitaxel plus cisplatin with or without bevacizumab and paclitaxel plus carboplatin with or without bevacizumab. The primary study hypotheses are that the combination of pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy is superior to placebo plus chemotherapy with respect to: 1) Progression-free Survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST 1.1) as assessed by the Investigator, or, 2) Overall Survival (OS).

Assessment Study to Evaluate Specific Immune Response in Locally Advanced Cervix Cancer After Radio-chemotherapy...

Cervical Cancer

Perspectives: To set-up another clinical trial with this specific phenotype as the main stratification factor. Therefore a more aggressive or a more specific systemic treatment (with or without an immunomodulator) could be proposed to those selected patients in the field of personalized medicine. To evaluate the use of the smear as a surrogate non-invasive technique to biopsy for immunomonitoring. To use the CTC/PD-L1 assay as a liquid biopsy in future clinical trials for stratification and monitoring of cancer patients undergoing immune checkpoint treatments. This specific subset of CTCs might represent metastatic cells with a high potential to escape T cell-mediated lysis and might therefore be the actual targets of immunotherapy.

QUILT-3.055: A Study of Combination Immunotherapies in Patients Who Have Previously Received Treatment...

Non-Small Cell Lung CancerSmall Cell Lung Cancer11 more

This is a Phase IIb, multicohort, open-label multicenter study of combination immunotherapies in patients who have previously received treatment with PD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint inhibitors. All patients in Cohorts 1-4 will receive the combination treatment of PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint inhibitor plus N-803 for up to 17 cycles. Each cycle is six weeks in duration. Some patients who experience disease progression while on study in Cohorts 1-4 may roll over into Cohort 5 and receive combination therapy with a PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint inhibitor, N-803, and PD-L1 t-haNK cellular therapy for up to an additional 17 cycles. Each cycle is six weeks in duration. All patients will receive N-803 once every 3 weeks. Patients will also receive the same checkpoint inhibitor that they received during their previous therapy. Radiologic evaluation will occur at the end of each treatment cycle. Treatment will continue for up to 2 years, or until the patient experiences confirmed progressive disease or unacceptable toxicity, withdraws consent, or if the Investigator feels it is no longer in the patient's best interest to continue treatment. Patients will be followed for disease progression, post-therapies, and survival through 24 months past administration of the first dose of study drug.
