The results of this study will serve as a starting point for future trials concentrating on the effectiveness and clinical outcomes of the procedures performed in an office based angiosuite. Additionally, other studies could compare clinical outcomes between procedures performed in an office based angiosuite and other settings.

In the literature, it is stated that cold water immersion to lower extremities is effective on the symptoms of the disease. Studies have shown that cold water immersion, which is one of the cold application methods, has effects on increasing joint mobility, reducing pain, reducing stress, anxiety, depression, and increasing quality of life etc. For this reason, the study is planned as a randomized controlled interventional study to determine the effect of cold water immersion directly to the lower extremity in the preoperative period of patients with varicose veins on quality of life, anxiety and symptoms experienced.

To investigate whether Betadine can reduce infection rates and recurrence rates following varicose veins surgery in a randomized double blind placebo controlled study.

The goal of this registry is to evaluate the indication for EndoVenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) therapy. Can this be enhanced? What are the reasons for not using the laser? Therefore, this study aims to define clear indications for EVLA by registering the incentives of the participating investigators to use the laser instead of conventional corrective surgery for the treatment of varicose veins, at baseline and post-operative. Additionally, the efficacy and safety of the different varicose vein treatments will be evaluated by registering procedural characteristics, anatomic outcome (duplex ultrasound), quality of life (AVVQ) and postoperative pain (VAS).
