Long-Term Follow-Up to the DEVO Pivotal Trial of Dermagraft(R) to Treat Venous Leg Ulcers
Venous Leg UlcerObserve the long-term (1-year) outcomes of Dermagraft, compared with conventional treatment of four-layer compression bandaging therapy alone, in subjects who completed the ABH-Dermagraft-001-08 study. Study Hypothesis: N/A (Long-term follow-up study)
Negative Pressure Vs. Compression in Venous Ulcers
Varicose UlcerThis study randomises patients with venous leg ulcers, to be managed either using conventional compression bandages or a bridged vacuum assisted closure system under compression.
A Multicenter, Post Marketing Clinical Follow up (PMCF) Investigation to Evaluate the Performance...
Venous Leg Ulcer (VLU)This investigation is a Post Marketing Follow-Up Study for Mepilex XT conducted as part of Mölnlycke Health Care's quality system. The primary objective is to evaluate the performance of the dressing when used as intended on exuding Venous Leg Ulcers (VLUs) in the inflammatory and granulating stages of the wound healing process.
Transforming Nanoparticle Dressing For Management of Chronic Venous Ulcers
Chronic Venous Hypertension With UlcerThe present randomized controlled study aims to evaluate the role of transforming nanoparticle dressing n management of chronic venous ulcers.
A Post Marketing Study of Apligraf in Non-healing Wounds of Subjects With Venous Leg Ulcers
Venous UlcerThe overall study objective is to use microarray technology to identify and characterize the gene expression of multiple relevant genes in biopsies of non-healing venous ulcers.
Treatment Outcome of Autologous PRP Versus Conventional Therapy Among Patients With Chronic Venous...
Venous Leg UlcerThe use of PRP has dramatically increased in the fields of orthopedics, spine surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and dermatological indications. Nonetheless, its use in the treatment of wounds is not as widespread as in other fields. In this experimental study, the treatment outcome of autologous PRP was assessed in comparison to conventional therapy among patients with chronic venous leg ulcers.
Effects of Local Insulin on Varicose Ulcers for Wound Healing
Chronic Venous DiseaseVaricose Ulcer3 moreA randomized, split-plot, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. The varicose ulcer is divided into two (side A and B). Half of the wound's surface is treated locally with insulin (Glargine) applied at an approx depth of 3-4 mm. Treatment with insulin is administered for 7 days. Biopsy specimens of the two sides are obtained on days 0 and 7. A thermographic photograph of the wound is taken at days 0 and 7. The number of blood vessels and fibroplasia is evaluated as the main outcome.
Haemodynamics Variations of Transcutaneous Oxygen in Patient With Areterio-venous Leg Ulcers Under...
Leg UlcerCompression; VeinArterio-venous leg ulcers are real problems when it comes to public health because it has a major cost and leads to social and professional handicap. The management of leg ulcers is not clear and can be venous compression or surgery. The aim of the study is to evaluate the variation of the transcutaneous oxygen with compression. The second aim is to see how tolerate is the compression and the quality of life.
Evaluation of a Dual Action Pneumatic Compression System: Tolerance and Comfort in Patients With...
Venous Leg UlcerChronic Venous Insufficiency3 moreThe purpose of the study is to assess treatment tolerance and comfort in chronic VLUs after 4 weeks of treatment using a dual action pneumatic compression device.
Study to Evaluate the Performance of AQUACEL® Extra™ in Venous Leg Ulcers
Leg UlcerBased upon the in-vitro data AQUACEL® Extra™ achieves a 39% increase in absorbency. As such it is anticipated that through improved exudate management a longer wear time will be achieved in the AQUACEL® Extra™ group compared to AQUACEL® in the management of chronic wounds such as venous leg ulcers.
