Electrical Acupoint Stimulation for Postoperative Recovery
Postoperative ComplicationsPostoperative Nausea and Vomiting6 moreThis study investigates electrical acupoint stimulation (EAS) administered in peri-operation for improving postoperative recovery in elder patients, who accept knee arthroplasty. the surgery cause to change of stress response, which might be associated with postoperative recovery of patient Totally, three groups are created, 1/3 participants receive transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation, 1/3 participants receive electroacupuncture, the rest 1/3 will use sham transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation.
Global Impact of the COVID 19 Pandemic on Stroke Care, Cerebral Venous Thrombosis, and Subarachnoid...
StrokeA 1-year analysis of global selected stroke metric data will be conducted comparing the results during the Covid-19 pandemic to the pre-pandemic period. In most countries, this will correspond to March 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021. In some countries, the pandemic period would be adjusted for onset of case surge (i.e. China pandemic start date would begin earlier, i.e. January 2020). The specific metrics that will be analyzed include: ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attacks (TIA) hospitalizations intracranial hemorrhage hospitalizations cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) hospitalizations (with or without thrombocytopenia) CVT in-hospital mortality 4) aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage hospitalizations 5) mechanical thrombectomy 6) intravenous thrombolysis 7) ruptured aneurysm endovascular coiling 8) ruptured aneurysm clipping. 9) aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage admissions 10) SAH in-hospital mortality 11) SAH presentation by Hunt Hess Grade
Analysis of Neutrophil Extracellular Traps in Hypercoagulability and Portal Vein Thrombosis in Liver...
Neutrophil Extracellular Trap FormationPortal Vein Thrombosis1 moreThe aim of this study was to investigate whether NETs markers can enhance procoagulant activity and predict portal vein thrombosis in patients with live cirrhosis, so as to establish a novel predictor to guide clinical decision-making.So we recruit liver cirrhosis with portal vein thrombosis and without portal vein thrombosis treated at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University and collection of blood samples.
Risk of Venous Thromboembolism in Critically Ill Patients With Severe COVID-19
COVID-19Critical Illness9 moreSevere COVID-19 patients at a high risk of venous thromboembolism. We studied patients in 2 intensive care units of university hospitals in Barcelona and Badalona, Spain. We performed a cut-off screening of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) with bilateral duplex ultrasound to 230 patients.
A Study to Investigate the Possible Causes of Secondary Effects During Use of Peripheral Midline...
Upper Extremity Deep Vein ThrombosisSecondaryAlthough the use of peripheral venous catheters (CVP) with brachial insertion with echo-guide (Midline) has increased significantly over the last 5-10 years, there are no sensitive data concerning complications in the literature during their use, particularly as regards incidence of thrombotic complication. The prospective observational study will enroll all the patients admitted to Home Health Hospitalization service, Geriatric Department and Intermediate Care service, to whom a Midline-type CVP will be placed for infusional therapy and who will give their consent to participate.
Deep Venous Thrombosis in Non-severe COVID-19 Patients Hospitalized for a Neurovascular Pathology...
Deep Venous ThrombosisSevere SARS-CoV-2 infection, responsible of COVID-19, is accompanied by many venous thromboembolic events. Antithrombotic treatment is the cornerstone of management of many neurovascular diseases (NVDs) and the benefit-risk ratio is crucial to avoid hemorrhagic complications. Therefore, in non-severe COVID-19 patients affected by NVDs, the diagnostic of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) is challenging. Using bedside Doppler ultrasonography (DUS) of lower limbs, this study investigated the rates of DVT in these patients in stroke unit.
Whole-leg Ultrasound in Pregnant Patients
Deep Vein ThrombosisThis study seeks to determine the rate of thromboembolic complications (blood clots), including death attributed to thromboembolic disease, when anticoagulation (blood thinner) therapy is withheld from pregnant patients suspected of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after a whole-leg compression ultrasound shows no DVT. Patients are followed for three months after the ultrasound to determine if a blood clot is diagnosed during that time.
The Diagnosis of Occult Deep Vein Thrombosis of the Lower Extremities in Patients Presenting With...
HypoxiaThe purpose of this study is to prove that bedside Ultrasound Compression is a useful screening tool for the diagnosis of occult deep vein thrombosis in patients presenting to the emergency room with hypoxia.
Study on Thrombosis Therapy in German Cancer Patients
CancerDeep Vein Thrombosis1 moreThe study aims to document the flow of German patients with cancer and acute deep vein thrombosis from first visit to diagnosis and treatment, the applied diagnostic procedures, and therapy modalities.
