Left Ventricular Capture Management Study

Ventricular FibrillationVentricular Tachycardia1 more

Primary Objective: To characterize left ventricular (LV) threshold behavior over time using daily left ventricular capture management (LVCM) measurements. Study Design: This is a multicenter, prospective, non-interventional study with patients receiving their first cardiac resynchronisation therapy-implantable cardioverter defibrillator (CRT-ICD) device. The study design, based on the primary objective, is an observational examination of LV thresholds over time. Daily left ventricular threshold measurements will be collected using the LVCM feature. Up to 150 patients will be enrolled in Canada to evaluate the primary objective at up to 15 study centers. Data will be collected at Baseline, Implant, 12 months post-implant and all regularly scheduled follow-up visits up to 12 months post-implant. Devices: The ConcertoTM CRT-ICD device and future Medtronic CRT-ICD devices containing the LVCM feature will be used in this study.

Further Acute Research of a Subcutaneous Implantable Defibrillator (S-ICD) System

Ventricular FibrillationVentricular Tachycardia

The purpose is to further evaluate the operation, safety, and feasibility of a subcutaneous implantable defibrillator (S-ICD) system in patients who require an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)for treating ventricular tachyarrhythmias. The S-ICD electrode and pulse generator emulator will be briefly implanted and tested during the standard implantation procedure of an ICD, but then the S-ICD system will be removed entirely.

INSIGHTS ICD Registry

Ventricular TachycardiaVentricular Fibrillation

The purpose of the Registry is to collect data on how Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) therapies and medications are being used by physicians to treat ventricular arrhythmias in order to better understand how to improve the clinical care of patients and effectiveness of ICD therapies.

Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Effect in Prolonged Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Cardiopulmonary ResuscitationCardiac Arrest2 more

Analysis of the patients' data who were rescued with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and without ECMO. The survival rate and the weaning rate were analyzed to see the effect of ECMO on the prolonged CPR.

VIVO Mapping Protocol

Ventricular TachycardiaVentricular Ectopic Beat(S)

This is a single centre study enrolling 15 subjects with structurally normal hearts that are already indicated for a ventricular ablation procedure (VT or PVCs). The purpose is to compare the accuracy of VIVO and to assess its efficacy to decrease procedural time, and ideally, the procedural overall costs, as compared to standard of care ablation procedures. Results will be compared with data from

Domperidone and Risk of Serious Cardiac Events in Postpartum Women

Ventricular TachyarrhythmiaSudden Cardiac Death2 more

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of domperidone is associated with an increased risk of serious cardiac events among postpartum women in the six months following delivery. The hypothesis is that the use of domperidone will be associated with an increased risk of serious cardiac events among postpartum women. The investigators will carry out separate population-based cohort studies using health care databases in five Canadian provinces. Women with live births will be eligible to enter the cohort. We will identify all women who start domperidone during the six months following delivery and match them to similar women who do not start domperidone, with all included women followed until the occurrence of an adverse cardiac event or for up to six months after delivery. The results from the separate sites will be combined to provide an overall assessment of the risk of serious cardiac events in users of domperidone.

Cardiac Rehab Retrospective Review (CR3)

Sudden Cardiac DeathHeart Failure3 more

All patients enrolled in the Austrian LifeVest Registry will be retrospectively screened for successfully completed ambulatory or stationary rehabilitation program. Baseline characteristics, complete rehab data, outcomes and follow up data, as well as wearable cardioverter defibrillator(WCD)-derived data will be collected from these patients. Specifically, performance data from the start of the exercise training (ET) will be compared to the end of ET; including type of training, exertion, time and duration will be collected. In addition, WCD recorded data such as automatically and manually recorded ECGs, compliance, and TRENDS data will be collected.

Cerebral Oxygenation and Awareness During VT Ablation

Cerebral Oxygenation

It is aimed to examine the effect of the decrease in blood pressure that occurs during the ventricular tachycardia ablation process on cerebral oxygenation and awareness. Patient's age, cardiac measurements (ejection fraction-EF), basal vital values, procedure time (especially activation and pacing mapping), and localization of the arrhythmia, may affect the NIRS and BIS response to blood pressure drop. In addition to the effects of patients' demographic information, cardiac capacity and procedure time on NIRS and BIS values (downtrend and duration), correlations of these values with other monitoring parameters (ETCO2 and SpO2) intended to be displayed.

DF4 Master Study (Safety and Efficacy Study)

Ventricular TachycardiaVentricular Fibrillation2 more

The purpose of the study is to proof the safety and efficacy of the new ICD sytem (Iforia/Ilesto). The devices are available with DF-1 and DF4 connection. A special focus is set on the ICD system with DF4 connection.
