Physician Perceptions About Parenteral Hydration in Latin America and Spain
DehydrationAdvanced CancersThe purpose of this study is to assess palliative care physicians' attitudes, beliefs and practice patterns related to parenteral hydration at the end of life in Latin America and Spain. Objectives: To assess palliative care physicians' attitudes, beliefs and practice patterns related to parenteral hydration at the end of life in Latin America and Spain. To assess cross-national differences in practice patterns related to parenteral hydration at the end of life. (Latin America vs. Spain). To determine the percentage of physicians who practice parenteral hydration at the end-of-life in the hospital setting and the home setting. To examine the association between providers' parenteral hydration practice patterns and: 1. provider demographic characteristics; 2. specific characteristics of their practice settings; and 3. training and experience in end of life care; To determine which factors most predict the practice of parenteral hydration at the end of life among palliative care physicians.
Hydration Status Assessment Through Body Composition Monitoring in Patients With Acute Myocardial...
DehydrationAcute Myocardial Infarction1 moreAims: evaluate the hydric status through bioimpedance spectroscopy in consecutive acute myocardial infarction patients referred for primary PCI; assessment of renal artery stenosis incidence through renal angiography in consecutive STEMI patients; fully characterize the complex hydration, metabolic and endothelial profile of these patients in the attempt to define the role played by dehydration in the complex dynamics of acute myocardial infarction.
Rotavirus Burden and Genotypes in a Sentinel Hospital Surveillance System in Lebanon
GastroenteritisDehydrationThis study aims to determine the contribution of rotavirus infection as a cause of gastroenteritis requiring hospitalization in children younger than 5 years of age. Additionally, a secondary aim will be to determine the genotypes of rotavirus that cause these infections as prevalent in Lebanon.

Dehydration and Population Health
Dehydration (Physiology)The primary aim of this study is to assess cardiovascular changes (blood pressure, heart rate, electrocardiogram/ECG) in response to mild fluid-restriction dehydration and subsequent rehydration in healthy young and old people. Secondary aims are to assess changes in body composition, mood, and hunger in response to mild dehydration and rehydration.
Continuous Registration of Bioimpedance During Hemodialysis
Dialysis Related ComplicationDehydrationThis studies aims at testing continuous registration of bioimpedance during hemodialysis and comparing the measurement with extracted liquid.
Body-fluid Balance and Drinking Habits in Patients With Retinal Vascular Occlusion
DehydrationRetinal Vascular OcclusionThe purpose of this study is to examine the body-fluid balance in patients with retinal vascular occlusion and the influence of drinking habits and hemodilution on the degree of body hydration.
Validation of a Screening Tool to Assess Dehydration in Hospitalized Older Population
Dehydration HypertonicAgedThe study aims to verify the sensitivity and specificity of a tool to assess the state of hydration of the older person to identify those at risk of dehydration.
Oral Rehydration Therapy in Children With Mild to Moderate Dehydration
ParentAttitudesThe purpose of this study is to determine parental attitudes towards oral rehydration therapy for children with mild to moderate dehydration.
