Understanding How Methadone Treatment During Surgery Affects Pain Levels and the Need for Pain Medications...

Spinal Surgery

The researchers are doing this study to find out whether giving methadone during spinal surgery helps manage pain in the first 72 hours after surgery better than other standard pain medications. Participants' pain will be measured by how much pain is reported after surgery, and how much additional pain medication is needed to lower pain levels. The researchers will look at whether giving methadone during surgery reduces the need for other pain medications after surgery. In addition, the team will compare the effects of methadone with the effects of a placebo to evaluate which one works best.

Denosumab Biosimilar Injection in Post Menopausal Women With Osteoporosis

Denosumab of Intas is biosimilar denosumab candidate under development by Intas Pharmaceutical Limited (Biopharma Division). Denosumab of Intas is already approved by Indian drug licensing authority- Drug Controller General (India) for marketing in Indian population since 2018.As per regulatory requirement, a comparative clinical study to establish Pharmacokinetic, Pharmacodynamic and Immunogenicity equivalence is required to conclude therapeutic equivalence to obtain marketing authorization of a biosimilar investigational product. This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, active controlled study in approximately 552postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. An extension of the study is planned after completion of the initial 1 year of treatment. This extension is with the objective of submitting data on safety, and Immunogenicity, after switching of Prolia treatment arm to either Prolia or Intas denosumab for 6 months. This switching data is applicable only for FDA submission. Only patients who have undergone PK assessment will be eligible for the extension phase.

This phase I study is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the safety and tolerability of single ascending dose of IA 4P-004 at 0.3, 1.0, 3.0 and 6.0 mg in participants, Between 18 and 80 years of age, with target knee OA stage KL 2-4 A total of 32 participants will be enrolled in 4 cohorts, in each cohort participants will receive either 4P-004 or placebo (6:2). 4P-004 dose will increase with cohort 1 to 4.

Gliflozins have demonstrated a beneficial effect in terms of incident heart failure and related events in patients with or without diabetes. The clinical trial ICARD is an exploratory study that aims to evaluate the cardiometabolic mechanistic effects on the myocardium of dapagliflozin in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction. Deep phenotyping of cardiac and vascular function will be performed using MRI. Myocardial tissue characterization will be based on MRI and FDG-PET for glucose metabolism assessment. Liver steatosis and fibrosis will simultaneously be assessed.

This is a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial to assess whether treatment with lamotrigine and bupropion is more effective than placebo to reduce definitive Meniere's vertigo attacks (DMVA) and dizziness in patients with Meniere's disease. Thirty four participants will be randomized to treatment or placebo groups. Each participant will take part in the trial for 34 weeks, or approximately 9 months.
