Memory Enhancement by Gamma-hydroxybutyrate vs. Trazodone in Major Depressive Disorder.
Major Depressive Disorder30 healthy adults and 30 patients with major depressive disorder, will take part in three single-application pharmacological interventions (GHB vs. Trazodone vs. placebo p.o.) to test potential effects of these drugs on nocturnal memory consolidation. All participants will be assessed with mood state questionnaires, tests of emotional, procedural and declarative memory consolidation, polysomnography, EEG and neuroinflammatory biomarkers. At experimental nights, learning tasks are performed prior to sleep. The next morning, recalling tasks are performed. Each subject will pass through 5 study nights (1 screening, 1 adaptation and 3 experimental nights).

Depressive SymptomsThis study aims to explore the efficacy and acceptability of a clinician-guided internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (iCBT) programme for patients with depression, in Singapore.

Contextual Therapies and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as Transdiagnostic Group Interventions for...
AnxietyDepressionThis study aims to investigate the efficacy of three psychotherapeutic programs in group format: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioral Activation (AC) and Transdiagnostic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TD-CBT), for the treatment of emotional disorders. Considering the data of the literature and the results of previous research, it is expected that this clinical investigation shows that transdiagnostic interventions that are tested (AC, ACT, TD-CBT) cause clinical changes in the post-treatment. However, it is expected that in post-treatment and in the short and medium-term follow-up, significant differences will be found between the transdiagnostic therapies examined in all outcome criteria variables; and that the greatest effectiveness and effectiveness be achieved in contextual therapies, in particular, in Behavioral Activation therapy. It is expected that the study design will allow obtaining firm evidence of the active therapeutic ingredients from the analysis of the differential efficacy of each of the psychotherapeutic programs. As a final consequence and based on the results and discussion on transdiagnostic conditions and transtherapeutic elements, it is expected to develop a unified treatment protocol (in group format -as an efficient work format and appropriate to the needs of public health services-) to be easily applied in the field of primary care. It could facilitate access to effective treatment of common mental disorders in public health services.

Psychotherapeutic Augmentation of Brain Stimulation Effects
Depression ChronicDepression2 moreThis study aims to investigate effectiveness and feasability of a 15-week group psychotherapeutic intervention as continuation treatment after electroconvulsive therapy in severely depressed patients. Feasibility and acceptance of the half-open manualized CBT intervention are assessed. Depressive symptoms, quality of life and emotion regulation skills will be assessed before ECT treatment, before and after the 15-week group CBT intervention and at a 6 months follow-up after treatment end and compared to depressed patients treated with ECT who did not partake in group CBT. Moreover, patients will attend two indidivual pre-group sessions with one of the group therapist and one individual post-group session

Healthy Heart Habits
Acute Coronary SyndromeDepressionApproximately 350,000 Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) patients experience significant depression symptoms each year in the US. Post-ACS depressed mood interferes with patients making necessary changes to behavioral risk factors (e.g., smoking cessation) and predicts poor medical outcomes. The proposed study will develop an integrated depression and behavioral risk factor reduction intervention for secondary prevention post-ACS through an open trial of 20 patients.

Psilocybin for Treatment-Resistant Depression
Treatment Resistant DepressionThe purpose of this study is to see if psilocybin, an investigational drug, is safe and well tolerated. Researchers also want to know if psilocybin can improve symptoms of depression. This study will see if psilocybin is safe and well tolerated by tracking changes in suicidal thoughts and behaviour, monitoring if any participants choose to stop participating in the study, and measuring any serious side effects, as well as how long they take to resolve. This study will also see if depression symptoms improve (or worsen) after psilocybin is administered. Additional information about participants' depressive symptoms and side effects will also be measured during the study.

Digital Therapeutic for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
Major Depressive DisorderGeneralized Anxiety DisorderParticipants with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) or Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) will use a prescribed digital therapeutic for 8-10 weeks, and will complete depression and anxiety measures during this time. After the treatment period, participants will be followed monthly for 12 months.

Online Peer-Delivered 1-Day CBT Workshops for PPD
Postpartum DepressionA parallel group RCT with experimental (immediate workshop) and waitlist control (treatment 12 weeks later) groups will address our objectives. All participants will be asked to complete study questionnaires at baseline (T1, 3 weeks before the intervention/first workshop) and 12 weeks later (T2, just prior to the waitlist control/second workshop). Workshops will be delivered by trained peer leaders (women who have recovered from PPD). The study will aim to determine if online 1-day CBT-based workshops for PPD delivered by trained lay peers added to care as usual during the COVID-19 pandemic: (1) can improve PPD more than usual care alone, (2) are cost-effective, (3) can reduce the impact of common comorbidities and complications of PPD including anxiety, partner-relationship discord, social support, infant temperament, parenting stress, and poorer mother-infant attachment.

Online PHN CBT for PPD
Postpartum DepressionThe primary objective of this study is to determine if online group CBT for PPD delivered by public health nurses is superior to postnatal care as usual in: a) acutely treating PPD, b) reducing relapse and recurrence, c) improving common comorbidities and complications of PPD including anxiety and the mother-infant relationship, and d) to determine if this treatment is cost-effective.
