Social Media Use of Acne Vulgaris Patients: Multicenter, Survey Work
Acne VulgarisAcne Vulgaris is a chronic skin disease. However, chronic and repetitive due to the quality of life and psychological status of patients can affect. For this reason, patients carry out various research on their diseases on social media and follow programs on these issues in other media such as television and radio. However, there is no study on how much patients are interested in these publications, how much they trust them, and how they reach and organize information via social media. The aim of the study will be to clarify how and how patients with Acne Vulgaris use social media to obtain information about the diagnosis and treatment of their disease, the interaction of patient groups with each other, and how often social media is used, especially in which group of patients.

Convolutional Neural Network in Ovarian Follicle Identification
InfertilityFemale1 moreA prospective cohort trial studying patients with infertility undergoing an ovarian stimulation with exogenous gonadotropins. Ovarian monitoring will be performed with a combination of transvaginal ultrasound and 2 dimensional human measurements of the follicle development on the right and left ovaries along with SonoAVC. Human and SonoAVC measurements will then be compared to mask region-based convolutional neural network in follicle identification and measurement during during the ovarian stimulation.

"Patient Autonomie" in People With Cancer
PsychologicalOncologyIn France, the notion of autonomy concerning the patient's place in the healthcare system has been written into legal texts for several years. This notion is also fully recognized in our society and in the medical field by caregivers. However, the notion of autonomy is polysemous and complex. There is no unambiguous definition given the existence of plural conceptions of autonomy, especially in the field of psychology. A precedent thesis on the "representation of the autonomous patient in decision-making in the context of recurrence". Physicians practicing in oncology have been asked to perform a verbal association task inviting them to evoke the 5 words or expressions that came to their mind following the inductive word "autonomous patient". The results shows that for doctors, the "autonomous patient" is a patient with all of his physical, motor and intellectual capacities. Based on these findings, it would be interesting to study the autonomy perceived by the patient himself.

Evaluation of the Threshold for the Interpretation of the Results of a Method for the Blood Determination...
Alcohol AbuseFor an analytical validation of the method for the determination of blood hosphatidylethathanol, it is necessary to: to compare the results of chronic and excessive ethanol patients with the cut-off proposed in the literature. Also assess the stability of phosphatidylethanol in total blood collected, and in blotted dried blood stains (DBS), depending on temperature (ambient temperature and +4°C)

Relationship Between Periodontal Health Status, Body Mass Index and Quality of Diet in a Sample...
Conditions Influencing Health StatusThe study is a cross-sectional study investigating the relationship between periodontal health condition, body mass index and quality of diet on adult Egyptian dental patients attending the oral diagnostic center at faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University. The faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University is an open public facility, a tertiary healthcare and a referral center

Long-term Endoscopic Follow-up of Benign Epithelial Gastric Polyps
Benign Gastric PolypBenign epithelial gastric polyps are benign raised lesions that originate from the gastric mucosa or submucosa and protrude from the gastric cavity with a wide base or a pedicle. The diagnosis and treatment of benign epithelial gastric polyps are currently controversial. There is still a lack of clinical research evidence especially for the malignant tendency and related treatments of gastric polyps. Many doctors have ambiguous understanding of benign epithelial gastric polyps and their endoscopic management is still in a"one size fits all"mode in China, which greatly wastes medical resources and increases the medical risks of patients, So it is imminent to formulate management practices for the diagnosis and treatment of gastric polyps. Therefore, a full understanding of the clinical characteristics, endoscopic characteristics and long-term follow-up trends of benign epithelial gastric polyps is of great significance for clinicians to formulate reasonable treatment and follow-up plans. This study is a prospective, large-sample observational cohort study. It is planned to include 200 patients with biopsy confirmed benign epithelial gastric polyps participating in this study from September 10, 2020 to December 31, 2021 and followed up for 18 months. The main research endpoint is the correlation between size and pathological type of benign epithelial gastric polyps and polyps development. The secondary research endpoint is the correlation between type of benign epithelial gastric polyps and Helicobacter pylori infection. The research results will help provide long-term follow-up data for benign epithelial gastric polyps of different pathological types, thereby providing first-hand evidence-based medical data for formulating gastric polyp management guidelines, helping to efficiently screen high-risk groups and guiding their examination, treatment and long-term follow-up to achieve early detection and early treatment of gastric cancer, thereby reducing the mortality rate.

Contents of Circulating Extracellular Vesicles: Biomarkers in Colorectal Cancer Patients
Colorectal CancerMost cancer-related deaths are caused by distant metastases, which are tumour cells that have escaped from a primary tumour and passed into the bloodstream to colonize a new organ. In this context, communication between tumour and stromal cells is essential. Indeed, tumor cells interact with cells in the tumor microenvironment and are able to modify them to their advantage. Both extracellular vesicles (EVs) and exosomes are heterogeneous populations of small vesicles present in the tumor microenvironment and in body fluids that have recently emerged as powerful mediators involved in this communication and their transport in fluids. Tumor cells release large quantities of exosomes containing tumor markers, which can then spread to distant locations. The exosomes are of endosomal origin. They are composed of proteins, lipids, RNA and DNA, and they circulate in the bloodstream. They can be internalized by specific distant cells and thus deliver a functional message. It has recently been shown that tumor exosomes containing pro-metastatic factors form pre-metastatic niches, before the tumor cells actually arrive, while determining the metastatic organotropism of tumors. These properties are now opening up new avenues of research in tumor biomarkers. In recent years, several studies have highlighted different markers contained specifically in exosomes derived from cancer cells. Consequently, exosomes are considered as potential reservoirs of tumor biomarkers that could be clinically useful for the non-invasive diagnosis of cancer, with the advantage of being performed by liquid biopsy. The study of microRNA (miRNA) is of particular interest. Indeed, miRNAs are small non-coding RNAs (between 21 and 25 nucleotides) involved in the regulation of gene expression and which are frequently deregulated in cancer. Several studies underline that the variation of free miRNAs in the blood is correlated with the progression of the disease, particularly in colon cancer. However, the stability of free miRNAs is controversial. Therefore, exosomes represent a very advantageous means of transporting miRNAs in the blood, as they are able to protect miRNAs from degradation by RNAase. The hypothesis of the project is that circulating exosomes derived from tumours contain markers including specific miRNAs that could be used as biomarkers of early prognosis (survival and progression), easily measured in blood samples from patients with colon cancer. But other molecules contained in exosomes could also be of interest.
