Endobronchial Ultrasound Guided Transbronchial Lung Biopsy With or Without Guide Sheath in Lung...
Lung NeoplasmsEndobronchial ultrasonography (EBUS) is useful in localizing peripheral lung lesions. The EBUS, further combined with the guide sheath (GS) technique, has been reported to increase the yield of transbronchial biopsy. However, there are no reports comparing the GS technique and the traditional EBUS technique in diagnosing the peripheral lung tumor. Previous reports have revealed that several characteristic echoic patterns correlate well with the histopathological findings of benign and malignant lesions. Therefore, EBUS may also be useful in the differential diagnosis of malignant lesions of the lung.

Early Movements as a Predictor of Future Developmental Delay
Cerebral PalsyPremature BirthCerebral Palsy (CP) is a major developmental problem. Major risk groups of CP, are preterm infants and multiple pregnancies. Previous studies using the General Movements methodology demonstrated early identification of CP, as early as 3 month of age. This method was implemented mainly on preterm infants this study goal is to enlarge the scope of the methodology to infants of multiple pregnancies. A second goal is to study early motor development and its future consequences by comparing the development of the infants of the same multiple pregnancy.

Dendritic Cells in Patients Following Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Graft Versus Host DiseaseWe plan to investigate prospectively and simultaneously skin and blood DC subtypes, their donor/recipient origin and the correlation of DC reconstitution kinetics with treatment, clinical outcome and incidence of aGvHD in patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Aspiration of Subglottic Secretions Using Hi-Lo Evac Endotracheal Tube: Tube Size and Incidence...
Aspiration of Subglottic SecretionsTo evaluate the correlation between endotracheal tube size and incidence of dysfunction of suction lumen of Hi-Lo Evac endotracheal tube in critically ill patients who required mechanical ventilation for more than 48 hours.

Fatty Liver in Pregnancy
Fatty LiverNon alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the main causes of development of chronic liver disease and cirrhosis. There are no published studies which have investigated the incidence of NAFLD in pregnant women or the correlation between the metabolic changes in pregnancy and this phenomenon. We aimed in our study to explore the incidence of NAFLD in pregnancy by ultrasonography (US) during the end of the pregnancy or immediately after birth (after 36 weeks) and to look for a correlation between fatty liver and demographic, clinical, nutritional and laboratory data during pregnancy.

Outcome of Small Pupil Phacotrabeculectomy in Persons With Glaucoma and Cataract
GlaucomaCataractSmall pupils are not uncommon in situations requiring surgical intervention for glaucoma and cataract. Inadequate binocular view during combined trabeculaectomy and glaucoma surgery needs to be overcome by additional iris manupulations to dilate the pupils which increase the liklihood of inflammation, inraocular pressure rise after surgery and enhnced liklihood of failure of glaucoma surgery. The proposed trial is an observational study to analyse post operative outcome of eyes undrgoing trabeculectomy and phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation with small pupils in persons with glaucoma coexisting with cataract.

Bone Marrow-derived Cells' Contribution to Tumor Formation and Inflammation
Gastrointestinal NeoplasmsThe purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship bone marrow-derived cells and the formation of the tumors, and the role of these cells in regeneration of epithelial cells in the gastrointestinal tract.
