Big Data and Text-mining Technologies Applied for Breast Cancer Medical Data Analysis
Breast CancerPrimary purpose : To develop a method to automatically extract and structure the information included in numerous medical records from breast cancer patients. Secondary purpose : With this procedure we can analyze the content of ten thousand anonymized textual medical records. This information should enable us to explore many subjects, such as: The impact of certain therapeutic procedures The characteristics of sub-groups of patients Pregnancy associated breast cancers Risk factors

Zika Virus Infection's Neonatal and Pediatric Consequences in French Department of America
Zika Virus Infection on Fetus and Child During the PregnancyThe Zika epidemic has spread into the three French Overseas Departments in the Caribbean (DFAs). It is therefore urgent to set up tools to collect clinical and paraclinical data for the evaluation of potential complications due to having ZIKV infection during pregnancy. This study is meant to collect, within usual care practices, clinical and paraclinical information (including imaging and laboratory results) as well as biological samples allowing the precise description of the consequences of ZIKV infection during pregnancy. This study is the 2nd arm of a global research program in the 3 French Overseas Departments in the Caribbean. It is complementary to the first arm (ZIKA-DFA-FE) consisting in the follow-up of women in the French Overseas Departments who are pregnant during the Zika epidemic period. The study population is made up of infants born during and up to 9 months after the end of the Zika epidemic period in the French Overseas Departments. The data and biological specimens collected for this project will be done so through the recommended standard of care which has been put in place considering the ZIKV epidemic in the 3 French Overseas Departments, upholding existing recommendations (profession and/or recommendation from the public health authorities)

Ultrasound Estimation of Pleural Effusion in the Sitting Patients
Pleural Effusion DisorderThoracic UltrasoundThe aim of this study is the feasibility assessment of a simple and affordable model for the quantification of Pleural Effusion through thoracic Ultra Sounds images. Two US scans will be performed to measure: the height of Pleural Effusion column (hPEUS) and the area of the effusion in correspondence of the midline of hPEUS (aPEUS). The proposed model will estimate the Pleural effusion volume (PEVUS) by multiplying hPEUS and aPEUS. PEVUS will be compared with volumes estimated by CT scans (PEVCT), obtained within 24h from the US examination.

Influence of Osteoporosis on Clinical Outcomes of Mini-invasive Surgical Treatment of Proximal Humerus...
OsteoporosisHumerus FractureAim of the study is to analyze results of treatment of proximal humerus fractures with mini-invasive technique and plate fixation. In all the patients a analysis of presence of osteoporosis will be done, clinical and x-ray results will be statistically analyzed to evidence any connection between clinical outcomes and osteoporosis.

Assessment of Disease Burden and Palliative Care Needs of Patients During the Course of Incurable...
Cancer DiseasePalliative TherapyThe aim of this non-investigational study is to determine the symptoms and disease burden at the time point of diagnosis and in the further course of an incurable cancer disease. The needs and preferences of patients suffering from cancer (ovarian carcinoma, breast cancer, malignant melanoma, lung cancer, stomach cancer, oesophageal cancer, pancreatic cancer, cancer of the hepatobiliary system, colorectal cancer, head and neck cancer) are examined by various validated questionnaires. The data obtained by these questionnaires are collected together with information obtained by the treating physicians at four time points during the study: t0 - patient´s enrollment, at the moment of diagnosis and before the start of tumor therapy, respectively; T1 - 3 months after patient´s enrollment; T2 - 6 months after patient´s enrollment; T3 - 12 months after patient´s enrollment. This highly innovative project offers the chance to identify medical services deficits and risk circumstances for the burden of treatments in an oncology-palliative setting and to optimize the quality of patient care.
