Understanding Symptom Recognition and Treatment Decision-making in Hispanic/Latino Lung Cancer Patients...
Lung CancerThe purpose of the study is to understand why Hispanic/Latino patients with lung cancer are diagnosed later than other groups.

Clinical Evaluation of the APTIMA® HPV Assay Using the PANTHER™ System
Human Papilloma Virus InfectionThe objective is to establish that APTIMA HPV Assay performance on the PANTHER System is comparable to performance on the TIGRIS System.

Cardiovascular and Torsades de Pointes Monitoring for Pazopanib
CarcinomaRenal CellThis observational study is conducted as part of a systematic pharmacovigilance activity, to provide a population-based context for Pazopanib use outside of the clinical trial setting. The aims of the study are to examine the incidence of cardiovascular ischemia (including myocardial infarction, unstable angina, transient ischemic attack, and cerebrovascular accident) and cardiac arrhythmia (Torsades de Pointes) in renal cell carcinoma patients treated with marketed anti-VEGF agents [Pazopanib (VOTRIENT), Bevacizumab (AVASTIN), Sorafenib (NEXAVAR), and Sunitinib (SUTENT)]. Two databases will be utilized for this study: a large healthcare claims database in the U.S. and the Dutch linked medical registries (PHARMO RLS). The databases will provide large, geographically varied, non-trial populations in which to examine the incidence of the stated cardiovascular ischemic events and Torsades des Pointes.

a Prospective Study on the Efficacy of Magnifying Endoscopy With Narrow-band Imaging in Diagnosing...
Stomach NeoplasmsMagnifying endoscopy with narrow-band imaging (ME-NBI) can emphasize surface pattern and microvascular architecture of the gastric mucosa. However, the usefulness and criteria of NBI for differential diagnosis among early gastric cancers (EGC) have not been fully established. The study is based on the hypothesis: ME-NBI is useful in distinguishing EGC from other gastric lesions ME-NBI is useful in further differential diagnosis among EGCs.

An Observational Study on The Health Related Quality of Life in Patients With Chronic Lymphocytic...
Lymphocytic LeukemiaChronicThis observational study will assess the health related quality of life (HQRL) profiles of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. Using health assessment questionnaires, data will be collected from patients currently receiving therapy and from those who have finished therapy and have undergone an assessment of treatment.

Diffusion-weighted Imaging Study in Cancer of the Ovary
Ovarian CancerPeritoneal MetastasesThis project seeks to develop a quantitative imaging biomarker for evaluating and monitoring treatment response in ovarian cancer metastases and assess its potential in monitoring treatment response. This will involve standardising DW-MRI for the abdomen and pelvis across multiple centres and platforms, assessing reproducibility of the measurement in patients planned for neoadjuvant chemotherapy and assessing its utility as an early response biomarker in patients with platinum-sensitive relapse due to receive therapy with carboplatin. Scanning measurements will be correlated with histopathological markers in tumour samples in order to link the biomarker with response mechanisms.

Microarray Analysis of microRNA Expression Profiles in Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Cutaneous Squamous Cell CarcinomaMicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a novel class of short RNAs which have shown to be dysregulated in a variety of cancers. Data of miRNA expression in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) is very limited and microarray based genome wide miRNA expression profiles of cSCC have not been investigated so far.

Biomarkers in Tumor Tissue Samples From Younger Patients With Rhabdomyosarcoma
Alveolar Childhood RhabdomyosarcomaChildhood Rhabdomyosarcoma1 moreThis research trial studies biomarkers in tumor tissue samples from younger patients with rhabdomyosarcoma. Studying samples of tumor tissue from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes that occur in DNA and identify biomarkers related to cancer

A Longitudinal Investigation of Cognitive Function in Colorectal Cancer Patients
Colorectal CancerThis is a prospective, longitudinal, controlled study of cognitive function and fatigue in patients with apparently localized CRC treated with adjuvant or neoadjuvant chemotherapy. In addition to following each patient over time (i.e. acting as their own control), a separate control group will consist of patients with early stage CRC (Stage A or B) who have had surgical resection of their tumour, but who do not require adjuvant chemotherapy, or patients with stage C CRC who have declined chemotherapy. Also included is a smaller sub-study of patients with limited metastatic CRC who are treated with more toxic chemotherapy To compare changes in cognitive function, as compared to baseline assessment, of patients with CRC who do, or do not, receive 5FU-based chemotherapy. The primary measures of cognitive function are the High Sensitivity Cognitive Screen (HSCS) & Coghealth™.

Computertomography-guided Wire Marking of the Liver
Secondary Malignant Neoplasm of LiverThe aim of the study is to evaluate if it is possible to mark with a wire colorectal hepatic metastases after complete response to a neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Primary the investigators want to investigate if the wire marking is a possibility to mark respectively to identify these lesions. Further the investigators want to evaluate how many patients with complete radiologic have complete histologic response in their specimen respectively in how many specimens in the definitive histology tumor cells are visible.
