Genotyping of Metastatic Colorectal Cancer Patients for Precision Medicine Clinical Trials

Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

The goal of delivering the right drug to the right cancer patient (precision medicine) requires a detailed understanding of how genomic alterations are linked to drug response. The purpose of this study is to intercept at point-of-care a large cohort of newly diagnosed mCRC patients to determine if it is possible to obtain personalized genetic information from each subject's tumor (tissue and blood) to triage treatment choices. In case of target positivity, patients will be conveyed, whenever possible, to self-standing, independent, hypothesis-driven POC trials as soon as they exhibit resistance to standard of care treatment.

Detection of Poor Mobilizer (PM) in Multiple Myeloma (MM) Patients

Multiple Myeloma

The study is an italian multicentric and will be conducted in 20 centers. The aim of this study is to evaluate poor mobilizer (PM) rate in newly diagnosed MM patients who are mobilized with cyclophosphamide and G-CSF and plerixafor on demand. Plerixafor is a specific reversible inhibitor of the chemokine receptor CXCR4 and prevents the binding of its ligand stromal cell derived factor SDF-1α also known as CXCL12, thereby releasing hematopoietic stem cells into the circulation.

Genetic Evaluation of Renal Cell Carcinoma; Predicting Biomarkers for Renal Cell Carcinoma

Kidney Cancer

Recruitment of participants to the study takes place at the urological department at Zealand University Hospital, Roskilde, Feb. 2018-April 2018. 10 people with diagnosis of renal cancer should be recruited in phases 1. Subsequently, biological materials from 100 patients with kidney cancer will be used from the national Biobank. In phase 3, 10 patients will be recruited for the final gene test.

Combined Diagnosis of CT and Exosome in Early Lung Cancer

Early Lung Cancer

This experiment has now collected 50 cases, all through CT chest scans and blood exosome detection. Twenty-two patients underwent surgical treatment and 14 tissue specimens were examined for cancer and paracancerous tissue exosomesWe found that exosomal micor-A was highly expressed in early stage lung cancer tissues and was significantly higher than paracancerous tissues. The micor-A in the adjacent tissues was significantly higher than that in peripheral blood exosomes

Peritoneal Carcinomatosis Extent Evaluation: Radiologic, Laparoscopic and Pathologic.

Peritoneal Carcinomatosis

pathologically proved ovarian cancer patients that underwent contrast enhanced abdomino-pelvic CT and diagnostic laparoscopy before cytoreductive surgery (CRS) will be included in the study. Calculation of PCI (peritoneal cancer index) using Sugarbaker's method, peritoneal carcinomatosis extent will be categorized into low, moderate and large. Agreement in general and in each category between CT, laparoscopy, surgery and pathology will be assessed using kappa agreement.
