Research of the EML4-ALK Gene Expression in the Pleural Effusion or Tumor Tissue From Lung Cancer...
Lung Cancer PatientsWe wants to analyse the EML4-ALK mutation rate in the patients who have non-small cell lung cancer.

Risk Factors for Concurrent Endometrial Carcinoma in Patients With a Curettage Diagnosis of Endometrial...
Endometrial CarcinomaObjective: To examine the risk factors for coexisting endometrial carcinoma in patients with endometrial hyperplasia. Method: Seventy-seven patients who received hysterectomy for endometrial hyperplasia were enrolled and divided into the non-endometrial carcinoma group (57) and the endometrial carcinoma group (20) depending on the final pathology. Clinical variables were analyzed.

Prediction of Incidence of Liver Cancer by Use of Real-time Tissue Elastography
Chronic Hepatitis BChronic Hepatitis CThis is a multi-center cohort study in which the Real-time Tissue Elastography® measurements will predict prospectively the incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma, the incidence and severity of gastroesophageal varices ascites and decompensated cirrhosis in hepatitis B or C patients.

Resectability of Pancreatic Head Cancer by Contrast-enhanced MDCT:a Multi-center Study
Adenocarcinoma of Head of PancreasThe purpose of this multicenter and double-blind clinical trial is to prospectively assess the sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value, positive predictive value, and accuracy in respectability of pancreatic head cancer with contrasted-enhanced MDCT and its various post processing techniques, taking operational and pathological records as the gold standard.

Identifying Unique Scent Signature of Lung Cancer Through Body Odor
Lung NeoplasmsThe purpose of this study is to show that dogs are able to detect cancer in sweat samples. This potentially would be the base for developing a new efficient, non invasive and inexpensive diagnosis tool of lung cancer.

Study of the Impact of Hypersplenism and Splenectomy on Hepatocarcinogenesis in Patients With Posthepatitic...
Liver CirrhosisCarcinoma3 moreThe purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of splenectomy coupled with portal-azygous disconnection on hepatocarcinogenesis in patients with post-hepatitic cirrhosis after hepatitis B or C virus infection by retrospective case-control study,We hope to find a new idear and method to prevent or cure HCC.

PET/CT and Sentinel Node in Oral Cancer
Oral CancerIn this study, the investigators want to pre-operatively scan patients who do not have any clinically suspicion of metastases with an 18F-FDG-PET/CT whole body scan , where after they go to lymphoscintigraphy incl. SPECT/CT and sentinel node biopsy. Material from the oral cancer and, after permission of each patient, also normal oral tissue will be analyzed molecular-biologically. Also a blood sample will be analyzed for molecular tumor markers. The investigators want to see if PET/CT is able to detect any signs of sub-clinically metastases. Besides, the investigators want to fusion PET/CT with SPECT/CT data from the lymphoscintigraphy study and improve our PET/CT scanning with a dual-time PET scan of the head-and-neck region.

Classification and Longitudinal Follow-up of Common Melanocytic Nevi With in Vivo Reflectance Confocal...
Common Melanocytic NeviOur working hypothesis is that reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) can identify distinct subsets of melanocytic nevi that retain their distinctive pattern over time.

A Retrospective Study of C-kit Mutation Status in Asian Patients With Advanced Gastro-intestinal...
Asian Patients With Advanced Gastro-intestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST) Treated With ImatinibImatinib is the current standard treatment for advanced GIST. Previous studies have shown that GIST genotype was associated with treatment outcomes with exon 11 having superior outcome compared with exon 9 or WT.10, 11 In patients with exon 9 kit mutation, the response rate was higher at when imatinib was given at 800mg daily compared with the standard dose of 400mg daily. Although the data linking tyrosine kinase mutation status and imatinib response in metastatic GISTs is intriguing, more information is needed before mutation testing is adopted as part of the routine analysis of high-risk or overtly malignant KIT-expressing GISTs.25 Despite the fact that exon 9 mutations are associated with a lower response rate, overall survival does not appear to be better with high-dose therapy. The investigators propose to conduct a retrospective analysis of mutational analysis on patients with GIST and determine the relationship between patient response and imatinib dose.
