Covid-19 Long-term Revalidation Follow-up
Covid19In this monocentric, prospective and descriptive trial we want to evaluate the long-term consequences for patients treated for Covid-19. Covid patients who were hospitalized for min. 5 days either in a Covid-19 department or in intensive care unit will be followed-up for 8 weeks after hospital discharge. This is done via an innovative electronic platform in the home environment (UZA@home). On the one hand the quality of life, rehabilitation and reintegration of the patient will be evaluated and on the other hand the patient will be screened for various psychosocial aspects such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress syndrome.

Spanish Survey on Third Wave of COVID-19
Covid19Due to the pandemic situation, a rapid online survey may be the best method to assess and track people's pandemic cooping. Regarding the huge media influence and the government's restrictions to control the spread of covid-19; it is needed to know more about people's perception and situation to conduct future contentions plans. This study aims to apply a rapid online survey to determine the Spanish situation in this third wave of the pandemic. The survey will be delivered to 1000 participants to obtain a representative sample. It would be divided into six sections (general information, demography data, social and consuming habits, Covi-19 question, questions for Covid-19 positive, and questions for Covid-19 negative).

Covid19Pulmonary EmbolismThe World Health Organization (WHO) declared the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic on March 11, 2020. As of 19 July 2020, there have been 14.3 million confirmed cases and over 600,000 confirmed deaths. Up to 14% of infected patients develop interstitial pneumonia, which may evolve to acute respiratory distress syndrome. COVID-19 associated pulmonary arterial microthrombosis and coagulopathy has prompted physicians to implicate pulmonary embolism (PE) as a potential cause for acute respiratory deterioration. Literature review reveals few studies of varying size, quality and design. Recent meta-analysis reports venous thromboembolism in approximately 20% of COVID-19 patients. There has yet to be a case-controlled study which proves and quantifies the associated between COVID-19 and PE.Confirming and quantifying this association has numerous clinical implications for the treatment of critically unwell patients with COVID-19 infection. For example, clinicians will be more inclined to investigate and treat sudden deteriorations with the knowledge that pulmonary embolism is the commonest cause for said deteriorations.

Comparative Genomic Profiling of Lung Adenocarcinoma in Asians and Caucasians: A Propensity Matched...
Adenocarcinoma of LungLung adenocarcinomas (LUADs) from Asian ancestry are reported to have different genomic architectures compared with LUADs from Caucasian ancestry. However, due to lack of available cases, few studies controlled the clinical attributes during the comparisons of the genomic alterations. In this study, the investigators will identify Asian LUADs patients who had broad-panel next-generation sequencing (NGS) performed on their primary tumor between January 2018 and December 2019 at the department of thoracic surgery of Peking University People's Hospital. Then, Caucasian LUADs patients who had targeted NGS (Memorial Sloan Kettering-Integrated Mutation Profiling of Actionable Cancer Targets [MSK-IMPACT]) will be identified in the GENIE database, which consists of 6673 primary lung adenocarcinoma samples with clinical annotations. Finally, genomic alterations regarding somatic mutations, copy number variations, fusions, mutational signatures, oncogenic pathways, and therapeutic actionability will be comprehensively compared between these two cohorts after adjusting age, sex, smoking status, and pathologic stage using propensity score matching. This study will elucidate important ancestry differences between Asian and Caucasian lung adenocarcinoma patients.

As they are considered risk group for COVID-19, it is not recommended that they leave their house and have interaction with people outside. Thus, most of them have not been attend Pulmonary Rehabilitation sections since the beginning of pandemic, neither exercising outdoor, experiencing drastic restrictions in their activities of daily living. It is well known that low level of physical activity in daily life (PADL) in this population is related to poor prognosis, including higher chance of hospitalization due to exacerbation and mortality. Therefore, the aim of this study is to evaluate the short- and mid-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the clinical, physical and functional conditions and the PADL level of people living with CRD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma and interstitial lung diseases). Participants will be assessed during the social isolation period and they will be reassessed immediately after release from social isolation. Thus, the subjects will be followed-up during 12 months to record symptoms, functional status, quality of life, exacerbations and hospitalizations. The researchers' hypothesis is that those patients will present very low level of PADL in association to sedentarism, poor functional status, more symptoms of dyspnoea, anxiety and depression, poor sleep quality and, consequently, will present more episodes of acute exacerbation of the disease and more hospital admission during the study protocol.
