Multicenter Trial to Treat Patients With Relapsed/Refractory Aggressive Non Hodgkin Lymphoma
LeukemiaLymphomaThis is a multicenter study to assess the anti-tumour activity,to investigate the safety profile and to obtain additional pharmacokinetic information for Aplidin® given as 1-hour weekly IV infusion in patients with aggressive non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Phase 2 Midostaurin in Aggressive Systemic Mastocytosis and Mast Cell Leukemia
Systemic MastocytosisAggressive (ASM)3 moreThe safety and efficacy of midostaurin (PKC412), a novel investigational drug, will be evaluated on the basis of response rate, when administered to patients with aggressive systemic mastocytosis (ASM) or mast cell leukemia (MCL)
The Effect of Oxcarbazepine in the Treatment of Agitation / Aggression in Dementia (OBAD)
Agitation Aggression in DementiaWe intend to conduct a phase III b trial to verify Oxcarbazepine's effect in agitation and aggression in patients with dementia. We designed the study as a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multi center trial. Hundred patients will be included. The treatment period will be eight weeks, with a further follow up of four weeks. The primary outcome measure will be the reduction in aggression and agitation as measured by means of NPI-NH-subscale agitation / aggression (Neuropsychiatric Inventory, Nursing Home Version). Secondary outcomes are reduction in aggression as measured by BARS (Behavior Agitation Rating Scale)and reduction in the burden to health-care personnel as measured by NPI-NH.
Long-Term Lithium Treatment for Aggressive Conduct Disorder
Conduct DisorderAggressionThis study will examine the long-term effects of lithium used to treat children and adolescents with aggressive conduct disorder (severe aggression).
KPT-330 Plus RICE for Relapsed/Refractory Aggressive B-Cell Lymphoma
Diffuse Large B-Cell LymphomaThis study evaluates the addition of selinexor (KPT-330) to RICE chemotherapy in the treatment of relapsed and refractory aggressive B-Cell Lymphoma, with the goal of improved response rates (as compared to RICE chemotherapy alone).
Phase II Evaluation of Gemcitabine- Rituximab-Oxaliplatin Combination (GROC) in Relapsed Aggressive...
Refractory Aggressive Non-Hodgkin's LymphomaRelapsing Aggressive Non-Hodgkin's LymphomaStudy Proposal: Other drugs where synergy with Gemcitabine has been observed are Cisplatinum, Taxol, Taxotere, Etoposide and alkylating agents. However in view of Oxaliplatin's superior activity as a single agent against lymphoma, the combination of Gemcitabine with Oxaliplatin is more attractive and should be explored in this group of disorders. Based on these data and considering the advantage of its favorable toxicity profile, we propose a phase II study in patients with either refractory or relapsing aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphomas including peripheral T-cell lymphomas which are known to have a poor outcome when compared with equivalent aggressive B-cell lymphomas.

Non-Hodgkin's LymphomaFor patients with relapsed and refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
Using Emotion Regulation to Decrease Aggression in Veterans With PTSD
Chronic Post-Traumatic Stress DisorderImpulsive aggression (IA) is common among Veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and PTSD is one of the most prevalent post deployment mental health conditions affecting Afghanistan and Iraq Veterans. An inability to manage one's emotions (emotion dysregulation) is an underlying mechanism of IA. Reducing IA and increasing use of PTSD evidence-based psychotherapies are two critical missions for the Veterans Health Administration. This research supports these missions by providing a 3-session emotion regulation training (Manage Emotions to Reduce Aggression) to Veterans in order to teach them how to manage emotions and prepare for PTSD treatment. This is an open trail, so all Veterans who meet the inclusion criteria will be allowed to receive the treatment. Each Veteran's level of aggression and emotion dysregulation will be measured at the beginning and end to the treatment. By enhancing Veterans' abilities to cope with trauma-related emotions and feel equipped to initiate PTSD treatments, this research aims to help Veterans decrease IA and ultimately recover from PTSD.
Treatment of Aggressive Behavior and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Aggressive BehaviorPost-Traumatic Stress DisorderStreet children and children of vulnerable families in conflict or former conflict regions are often exposed to multiple traumatic events and situations in which they are forced to engage in violent behavior. The Narrative Exposure Therapy for violent offenders (NETvo) aims to reduce both PTSD symptoms and aggressive behavior. It helps the children to anchor fearful experiences and positive emotions linked to violent behaviour in the past. Additionally, visions for the future are developed in order to foster successful reintegration into society.
Digital Parent Training for Disruptive Behaviors in Children
Disruptive BehaviorAggression Childhood4 moreThis is an open pilot trial of web-based parent training for tantrums and disruptive behavior in children. Parents will be asked to complete a battery of tests to assess their children' behaviors before and after the intervention. Children will undergo a psychiatric evaluation as part of screening. The intervention will be delivered online via an app over a period of 6 weeks. It consists of 8 self-guided courses that take approximately 10 minutes to complete and include text and animated parent-child simulations. Parents will also complete 3 one-hour videoconferencing sessions with a study clinician. During the intervention, parents will be taught various strategies for managing situations that can be anger provoking for their child. This study is conducted to examine whether a digitally-delivered version of parent-management training can be used to reduce behavioral problems including anger outbursts, irritability, aggression and noncompliance.
