A post market, non-randomized, multi-center, open-label,clinical study using survivorship to study the safety and efficacy of the Integra® TITAN™ Total Shoulder System 1.0 (TAS) when used for total shoulder arthroplasty.

This study is being done to determine the effectiveness of MONOVISC for the relief of pain and symptoms of osteoarthritis of the hip. Specifically, the study will determine if MONOVISC is more effective than a placebo treatment when delivered as intra-articular injections (injected directly into the hip joint). In this case, the placebo will be a dilute solution of salt water (saline).

Adults with degenerative meniscal tear receiving arthroscopic surgical management or knee drainage (arthrocentesis) +/- intra-articular steroid injection will be recruited to this non-interventional cohort study. The aim is to investigate whether measurement of an individual's synovial fluid biomarker response to a degenerative meniscal tear with symptoms predicts symptomatic and functional outcome suggestive of osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee.

The hypothesis of this study is that exposure to PEMF alters the cytokine environment of OA joints associated with a reduction of inflammation and improved homeostasis of the extracellular matrix (ECM), both potentially effecting symptomatic relief of OA pain, reducing cartilage breakdown, stimulate new cartilage formation therefore preserving joint structure.

This study is looking at the efficacy of a sloped insole in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Regularly wearing a sloped insole over the course of one year will result in a wider joint space by x-ray in 60% of the subjects, a significant decrease in knee pain, decreased use of over the counter analgesics, and a clinically important improvement in the Womac pain and stiffness scale.

The treatment that patients with knee OA are offered varies largely. There is a need for more evidence-based individualized guidance to treatment choice for knee osteoarthritis. This study will register and evaluate the course and outcome of treatment in 5,000 patients with knee osteoarthritis. The understanding of knee OA treatment will advance in three ways: Firstly, by describing the different treatment pathways that are currently being used for knee OA. Secondly, by identifying wich individual factors that may impact the outcome of the treatment course. And finally, by conducting the economic burden related to different treatment modalities.
