Clinical Assessment of a Daily Wear Monthly Replacement Silicone Hydrogel Toric Contact Lens
Refractive ErrorsAstigmatismThe purpose of this clinical study is to assess the clinical performance of an investigational toric soft contact lens compared to a commercially available toric contact lens in a crossover dispense trial when worn in a daily wear modality for 30 days, each study lens type.
Comparison of Clinical Outcomes of Toric Intraocular Lens
AstigmatismThis study is to compare the clinical outcome of Precizon toric intraocular lens(IOL) to that of Tecnis toric IOL.
A Clinical Comparison of 2 Multifocal Toric XR (Extended Range) Contact Lenses
AstigmatismThis study aims to compare the clinical performance and subjective acceptance of the comfilcon A and the omafilcon B soft contact lenses.
Comparison Between TICL and ICL+AK for High Myopic Astigmatism
AstigmatismHigh MyopiaTo compare the outcomes of a toric Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) and a spherical Implantable Collamer Lens combined with astigmatic keratotomy (AK) in the correction of high myopic astigmatism.
Symfony Toric Intraocular Lens Visual Outcomes
Cataract BilateralAstigmatism BilateralIn July 2016, the FDA approved an extended depth of focus (EDOF) IOL (Tecnis Symfony, Abbott Medical Optics) helping to improve the sharpness of vision at near, intermediate and far distances reducing the need of glasses after cataract surgery. It is available in both a non-toric version and a toric version for patients with astigmatism. The difference between this lens and the multifocal (MIOL) counterpart is that the EDOF, similarly to a monofocal IOL, has one focal point (elongated in the EDOF) while the multifocals have 2 focal points; therefore, having less of a halo and glare problem. Pivotal trial results where Symfony was compared to a monofocal IOL showed similar uncorrected distance visual acuity (UCDVA), better intermediate (77% vs. 34% 20/25 uncorrected intermediate visual acuity - UCIVA) and near vision (Symfony patients were able to read two additional, progressively smaller lines compared to the monofocal IOL).A One potential disadvantage of the EDOF IOL compared to a MIOL is the visual performance at near.B One option to deal with this potential shortcoming is to set the non-dominant eye for a small residual myopic error (-0.50 D)C what is referred to as nano-vision or mini mono-vision.
Performance of Toric Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lenses Following One Month of Daily Wear
AstigmatismThe aim of this prospective study is to evaluate the clinical performance of fanfilcon A toric and lotrafilcon B toric contact lenses after 1 month of wear in each pair.
Non-comparative Trial Following Participants Implanted Bilaterally With Mini WELL Toric Ready Intraocular...
Bilateral CataractAstigmatismThis is a multicenter, non-comparative trial following participants implanted bilaterally with the Mini WELL Toric Ready intraocular lens (IOL) for 6 months after the second eye implant. The objective of the study is to evaluate the clinical performance of the Mini WELL Toric Ready intraocular lens (IOL), in particular, visual performance and rotational stability at 6 months following the second eye implantation in participants suffering from bilateral cataract with corneal astigmatism. There are 2 hypotheses: Rotational Stability: the rotation of the Mini WELL Toric Ready IOL compared between Visit 0a (the day of surgery) and Visit 4 (120 180 days post-operative follow-up) shall be less than ±10° in 90% of the cases. Severe Visual Distortions: the rate of severe visual distortions for the Mini WELL Toric Ready IOL reported at 6 months postoperative will be less than 10 percents.
Comparison of Comfilcon A Toric Contact Lenses and Samfilcon A Toric Contact Lenses
AstigmatismThe objective of this study is to evaluate the subjective acceptance of comfilcon A toric contact lens, compared to samfilcon A toric lens.
Post-market Study to Obtain Surgeon Feedback on Clinical Outcome in Eyes Implanted With TECNIS Toric...
CataractCorneal AstigmatismThis is a multicenter, prospective, single-arm, open-label, clinical study of the commercially available TECNIS Toric II, Model ZCU IOL. The study will be conducted in up to 1100 subjects enrolled with 1,000 subjects needing unilateral or bilateral cataract surgery across up to 50 US study sites.
Clinical Evaluation of Two Toric Contact Lenses
AstigmatismThe study objective was to compare short-term clinical performance data of two toric contact lenses.
