Cardiac Biomarkers After Marathon Running and Coronary Atherosclerosis
Coronary Artery DiseaseThis study evaluates cardiac biomarkers and their association to coronary artery disease in marathon runners.

Hemodynamic Change of Coronary Atherosclerotic Plaque After Evolocumab Treatment
AtherosclerosisCompelling evidences indicate that lipid-lowering therapy can reduce the high-risk plaque feathers and improve the coronary flow reserve. This study is going to investigate the change of lesion-specific hemodynamic significance as determined by ML(Machine Learning)-based CT-FFR (Computed Tomography-Fractional Flow Reserve)after Evolocumab treatment.

Comparison of the Severity of Coronary Atherosclerosis With Tissue Compliance in Patients Within...
Coronary Artery Disease With Myocardial InfarctionThis study research the similarity of coronary artery lesions according to HLA tissue compatibility in fisrt degree relatives of the patients who just admitted clinic as Acute coronary syndrome and underwent angiyography before .

Carotid Risk Prediction (CRISP) Consortium
Carotid AtherosclerosisDevelop adverse event prediction and plaque phenotype classification models for patients with known or suspected carotid artery disease.

Changes of Muramyl Dipeptide in Intestinal and Extra-intestinal Diseases
Colorectal CancerInflammatory Bowel Disease2 moreNucleotide-binding oligomerization domain 2 (Nod2) signaling is critical for human health. To figure out the clinical relevance of NOD2 ligands, the investigators plan to evaluate the change of NOD2 ligands in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), CRC, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ACVD), and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2 ).

Serum Omentin-1 and Carotid Atherosclerosis In Non-Diabetic Chronic Kidney Disease
Non-diabetic Chronic Kidney DiseaseAtherosclerosisThe aim of the study is to evaluate whether a low level of serum omentin-1 is associated with carotid atherosclerosis and mediated by inflammation.

Epicardial Fat, Visceral Fat and Coronary Atherosclerosis
Epicardial FatVisceral Fat1 moreBackground: Visceral fat is increasingly associated with metabolic syndrome and with fatty liver, a condition carrying a high risk of cardiovascular disease. The independent role of epicardial fat deposition in cardiovascular risk remains unclear.

Evaluation of Subclinical COronary Atherosclerosis for Risk Stratification Using Coronary Computed...
Coronary AtherosclerosisTo evaluate the prognostic value of coronary CT angiography (CCTA) for risk stratification in asymptomatic adults in comparison with conventional risk stratification (CRS) and coronary artery calcium scoring (CACS).

The Gene Expression Patterns in the Peripheral White Blood Cells of Type 2 Diabetic Patients
Diabetes MellitusType 21 moreThe investigators hypothesize that macrophages play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Circulating Non-coding RNAs and Cardiovascular Outcomes in Patients With Dyslipidemia and Atherosclerosis...
Cardiovascular DiseasesCardiovascular diseases and stroke are the major causes of morbidity and death in Taiwan. There is a clear need to identify novel mediators of atherosclerosis in dyslipidemic patients to provide insights into the pathogenesis, to tailor clinical care based on cardiovascular risks, and to develop new therapeutic strategies. While the roles of lncRNAs in human diseases including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders are beginning to emerge, it remains unclear how lncRNA regulation contributes to atherosclerotic vascular diseases in patients with dyslipidemia. In this proposal, we seek to apply next-generation sequencing technology to investigate circulating (plasma and peripheral blood mononuclear cells [PBMC]) lncRNA expression in control subjects and in dyslipidemic patients with and without atherosclerotic vascular diseases (CAD, ischemic stroke and PAOD). The results from these experiments will lead to better understanding of how circulating lncRNAs contribute to atherosclerotic cardiovascular complications.
