Paraspinal Block in Nonspecific Low Back Pain
Chronic Low Back PainThe purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of a treatment involving the application of lidocaine injected on the low back area for pain control. The study will compare this form of treatment with other options such as physical exercises or pain killer medication, different measurements are going to be used to quantify the response to each of these treatments.
A Study of a Topical Patch (AB001) in Patients With Chronic Low Back Pain
Chronic Low Back PainThe objectives of this study are to examine the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of repeated topical administration of AB001 topical patches for the treatment of chronic low back pain.
Photobiomodulation Therapy on Low Back Pain
Low Back PainPhotobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) is a non-pharmacological method commonly used in treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. However, there are few high-quality scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of this therapy in the treatment of patients with chronic low back pain, at short, medium and long term. The present research project aims to evaluate the effects of PBMT in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain.
Optimization of Spinal Manipulative Therapy Protocols
Low Back PainResearch on spinal manipulative therapy for individuals with low back pain has been hampered by a lack of understanding of which of the physiologic effects produced by spinal manipulation are related to clinical benefit, and how these effects can be used to optimize treatment outcomes. Prior research has identified physiologic effects that relate to the clinical benefits from spinal manipulation treatment. The goal of this project is to examine strategies to use these effects to identify optimized treatment protocols. The results of this project will provide critical information for future clinical trials related to spinal manipulation.
