Two-in-one Covered and Uncovered Metal Stent

Extrahepatic Bile Duct CancerPancreatic Cancer2 more

Endoscopic placement of a self-expandable metal stent (SEMS) is the principle method for palliation of inoperable malignant distal biliary obstruction. However, none of bare, covered, and anti-reflux metal stent alone constantly demonstrated superiority over the others in the stent patency. To compensate for the limitations of each stent, a double stent system in which both covered and bare SEMSs are integrated into one stent system was introduced. In the current study, the investigators aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of this stent in patients with inoperable malignant distal biliary obstruction.

A Clinical Trial to Evaluate Safety and Efficacy of Endovascualr Denervation in Treatment of Cancer...

Liver CancerPancreas Cancer2 more

A prospective, multicenter, self-control clinical trial aim to enroll 110 patients suffered from upper abdominal (liver, pancreas, stomach, etc.) cancers . Patients who have taken at least one opioid drug for pain for two weeks and still have a VAS pain scale greater than 6 will receive endovascular denervation (EDN). They will be followed up for 3 months. The VAS scales, quantity of analgesics as represented by morphine equivalent and quality of life scores will be compared before and after EDN. Safety parameters such as arterial deformation, embolism, infection, liver and kidney functions will also be monitored.

Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Cancer of the Pancreas or...

Extrahepatic Bile Duct CancerPancreatic Cancer

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining gemcitabine, leucovorin, and fluorouracil in treating patients who have locally advanced or metastatic cancer of the pancreas or bile duct.

HAI Via Interventionally Implanted Port Catheter Systems

Colorectal CancerLiver Neoplasms3 more

Procedures to provide interventional implantation of a port catheter system into the hepatic artery and adjacent regional chemotherapy of the liver are optimized in the scope of an open, single-arm trial in patients with metastases and cancers confined to the liver. The primary objective is the improvement of indication, implantation procedure, and regional chemotherapy. Secondary objectives are port patency, comparison of complications with a historical collective of patients provided with a surgical hepatic arterial port device (colorectal cancer patients only), progression free and overall survival, efficacy of maintaining regional chemotherapy with 5-FU in combination with systemic treatment in patients with extrahepatic progression, quality of life.

Early Enteral Feeding After Pylorus Preserving Pancreatoduodenectomy

Pancreas CancerBile Duct Cancer1 more

Pancreaticoduodenectomy is associated with a high incidence of postoperative complications. These postoperative complications could delay postoperative resumption of adequate oral intake. Clinical study on postoperative feeding after pancreaticoduodenectomy is very limited. Method of Nutritional support (Enteral feeding or total parenteral support)after pancreaticoduodenectomy is controversial. To evaluate whether early enteral nutrition may be a suitable alternative to total parenteral nutrition To evaluate whether enteral feeding improve nutritional status after pancreaticoduodenectomy
